he says he is going to change but im just holding off on sex right now. so i wont be played for a fool. what do you think. people do change sometimes. so whats a good lengthy time to see if someone will stop lieing and show they can be trusted.

see for some people lieing is like a disease ! they may not hav a need to lie but they will just do it !!
is he that kind of person ? well if he is not then i dont think it takes people verry strong to stop lying ! i mean you are asking him to stop making up stories ! its much simpler not to make up stories than too !
well give him a lil more time if you like him a lott or else move one !
if a guy cant tell the truth then i donno i wud feel verry insecure in one such relation ! as i wud never be sure if he meant wat he was saying or was he just faking it all !!

I think you need to just continue to hold back on him and see how he acts. If he is serious about you, he should change, if he is not, he will not change or get worse. You watch him and see. If he is lying to you now, he will lie later. Unless he goes through a big life change, he will be that way. Just wait and see. Hope this helps. Don't want it to be a one night thing for you and then you will be hurt. You are gonna HAVE TO SEE TRUST IN HIM, however long it takes.

I know you are a teen but you could be 13 or 17 or somewhere in between, and it makes a difference. I don't like the fact that your bf is proud of you lying to your dad. Your dad knows that all kinds of bad can come out of an immature relationship like pregnancy and having a drop out and grandchild on his hands. Or at the very least a young lady with a broken heart and nothing saved for her real first boyfriend.

I think you've answered your own question. You say he lies all the time, yet he tells you he loves you and you believe him? Hmmmmmm. Why do you believe that he loves you? Because you want to believe that.
He says he's going to change? when? tomorrow? next week? next year? Open your eyes. he's a loser. Liars are thieves, they steal the truth from the rest of us. Get away from this loser and find someone that won't lie to you and will Love you and respect you. I know you didn't want to hear this, but reality sometimes hurts.

I dont think you can put a time limit on trust you just have to feel like he earned it and know it in your heart that he has changed. My baby's father is a pathological liar. You could look at a blue wall and he will tell you its red.

He wont change. He is either lieing again to you or to himself. I say put out or dump him but deep down you know what he is all about.

If he can't be trusted now, you'll never be able to trust him - even if he *did* change, you'll always have doubts and insecurities. This relationship likely won't work out.
