I say no the nuclear weapons shouldn't be banned. Look at history of the Cold War that went on for decades against the ussr & usa....they had nuclear weapons pointing at each other, did they use them.....no because they knew no one had the guts to see what would happen....destroy the planet???? The Cuban Missile Crisis, Kruschev had the opportunity to start WW3, and he backed off....These weapons are a deterrent to someone to start something, Nth Korea for instance with their 1st detonation of their own nuke....look what happened here, ussr, china, usa, virtually said in nice terms..."we're not taking any s_ _ _ from anyone who threatens us!!"......so is it inhumane to keep them or do we have them as an insurance policy from anyone from having a go!!!!! think about it very carefully....i know i can sleep with some peace that some dumb f_ _ _ wont try anything.......if they do the enemy wont know what has hit them....so why try to start something where there will be no winners or loosers????

You meant North Korea. Anyway, both Iran and North Korea signed treaties that they would not develop nuclear weapons. That's why they shouldn't. Believing we can stop other countries from developing nuclear weapons is a pipedream. We might as well start planning for the inevitable.

That's like saying we should get rid of all the guns in the world. It just isn't going to happen. Where there is a need there will be someone to get it. Nothing can be band for good. America tried to stop drinking back in the 20-30. Didn't happen. Can't stop drugs. Can't stop people having guns. Can't stop anything that people want and willing to pay for and that goes for the big stuff like WMD's. How's that for an answer.

My lil voice on my right shoulder says yes they should be banned because it goes against so many laws of humanity to simply nuke someone. My head says this will never happen, who will trust that everyone else got rid of theirs? The voice on my left shoulder still says think of how much easier it would have been to simply nuke Iraq, then we would be standing back looking at north Korea right now going.."now what do you want" , instead of o' s*** now what do they want. Plus no bickering over our soldiers dying for people that still in a majority don't want us there and still hate us.

I would love to see it and "Peace on Earth," and racial harmony amongst all the peoples of the planet, as well as true religious tolerance and an end to bigotry and hate..........
HOWEVER like the American bumper sticker says up there in your country:
"When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns....."
I gotta go with that until I see otherwise, sorry. (I know its not the longest, but only really need the 2 anyway......)

When gun restriction laws were brought about the criminals still had guns. Wouldn't this be the case if Nuclear weapons where illegal.
The technology is out there now you can't stop it.
