You ask why and i will tell you why. There are Christian people that cannot talk to people without telling them that they need accept Jesus into their lives and they need to be reborn and that they must ask Jesus for forgiveness and be washed in his blood.
It is not a matter of hating Christians it is just that most of us do not like it when they try to convert us the moment they meet us.
Always want to shove something about Jesus down there throat. On the other hand, when you meet some of them and try to tell them about your beliefs the first thing they tell you is that it is against the teachings of Christ and that it is evil.
How many Christians out there know that Jesus Christ are two different beings. Jesus is the son of God. Christ is the spirit. The light that shines form the sun. Christ is the spirit that did his most famous manifestation of Jesus of Nazareth.
How many Christians realize that Jesus and God are not the same and they are worshiping the son when indeed they ought to be worshiping the one that made both you i and Jesus God the father.
I respect Jesus as one of my ancestors cause he was a man. But i worship the father or mother in heaven.
Maybe if some of you stop try to force your beliefs upon people and have respect for other peoples religion then maybe people will stop being so mean to you.
Think outside the bible for one day and see what happens.

i don't know anyone who hates christians. people get upset about how intolerant a lot of christians seem to be.
terrorist attacks have nothing to do with people hating christians (they hate america in general).
the media doesn't have to make up lies about the president, he gives them enough to talk about.
people who abuse children are just sick.
in the wrong hands christianity can be very dangerous. think crusades, inquisition, burning times.
as a whole the earth religions are a lot more peaceful.

You are right, Christianity is no more dangerous than Hindu or Islam or any other religion.
The followers however --well that's another thing all together.
Christianity is guilty of as much pain and suffering as any other religion on the face of the planet. DO NOT delude yourself by thinking otherwise.
If you don't believe me, research it for yourself. It's not merely my own speculation. It's history and it's easily accessible.

Whats wrong with cults? Saying that cults are bad is being very stereotypical.
Christians are more concerned with moral ideas than what is beneficial to society. They appose abortion, gay marriage, and the right to contraceptives without looking at anything besides their religious ideas. Religion has no place in government or school, yet Christians push to have God taught in school and forbid homosexuality.

I remember a word from Gandhi, the father of India.
If I am not mistaken, he once said "I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ." .
It is our failures to follow Christ that we are hated by the people. Because it is worst for those who knows the truth and yet rejects them if compared to those who doesn't know Christ.
But if we follow Christ and are still being hated, then be glad because it is an honour to be humiliated with Christ humiliated.
John 15:18 "If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you"

No one hates Christians; they hate the pushiness, aggressiveness, and self-righteousness of SOME Christians.
People are also irritated by the movement in this country to get Christianity everywhere: In schools, in public buildings, in politics, and all sorts of other places where it doesn't belong.

Because most religious people teach their religion in a self-righteous, hypocritical
way. When this is what Christ specifically asked us to GET OVER!
They can't see how UGLY they are when they preach Christ, and turn around
and wish somebody to Hell because they won't accept everything they say.
And people want to be nothing like them!
Heed this warning, those who claim to be representatives of Christ, are DOUBLY
responsible for they way they speak and behave!

Why must Christian's claim to be cuddly yet are ready to attack non-Christian's?
There is so much hatred amongst the monotheistic religions, none can claim higher moral ground.
