I know how you feel. It seems no matter how much you do for them or how well you treat them they still disrespect you, show too little appreciation, and there never seems to be enough of a balance, or reward in the relationship for men. IE women take more than they give and think about their own needs more than their partners. I can't give up though because I want to be happy with someone and will keep looking until I find that woman who gives as good as she gets

Yeah, I've kinda given up on men right now too; I have entierly too much on my schedule, the one boy that I really care about doesn't love me back, they aren't worth the hassle, and the rest of em don't seem to care about me one way or the other. I'm sure this is all a phase, but for now men are my least priority (unless I happen to meet a really sweet one soon ;P)

i have done the same with men for years, havent been out with anyone apart form someone on the net for a short while for seven years, but you know life is sweeter with someone in it, so i have become more choosey. and don,t bover with people who do not have respect for me, its the best way. thats their problem. You have been hurt, maybe you just need a break for a while to get over things.

I did that about 6 years ago - gave up on men. Couldn't be bothered with them, thought they weren't worth the hassle, and just hung out with my mates. Then, weirdly, I met a guy who didn't want a girlfriend either, and as corny as it sounds, it was like..well.. magnets. We've been together ever since.

Not given up but taking a break. One year and counting. I've got too much else to think about at the moment.

giving up on men. ill just be single for a while if not forever. relationships reqiure a lot of work and i feel if you have to work that hard at love then i dont need it. love doesnt hurt. and until i find someone who thinks the same way ill just be by myself.

Nothing wrong with it at all. I've given up on men, too. I'm not a lesbian, I just have more important things to do. Dating is futile.

Hmm, i seem to relate to this question. You can't live with them and unfortunately you can't live without them, so the moral of the story is either, make an effort to understand them or use Mrs Palmer and her five daughters.

I given up on women too. ...And I am gay. Ha! I AM REALLY! That also doesn't mean I am turning straight.
Cheers to me and you that we find a perfect woman - without looking!
