A LOVER. I am keen on Bovril too (beef extract), I use that as a drink mid morning to stop me getting peckish.
As for marmite though, I agree a marmite and cheese sandwich really hits the spot and I am definitely going to have to try it on toast with melted cheese as has been detailed here!
I also LUV it as a marmite sandwich with plain crisps in the sandwich. Put as many crisps in as possible, put on the top slice of bread, then with a flat hand, press down gently. Crunch, crunch, yum, yum.

I love it spread thinly on toast especially made into soldiers for my boiled egg. Yummy nursery food and very satisfying. I must have lived off marmite and toast when I was student. I like cheese and marmite sandwiches too. I know someone who spreads marmite in her sandwiches about half an inch thick - now THAT is going too far! For marmite recipes, I used to make a delicious roast using marmite, cheese and oats but I have lost the recipe :( I found this nice Gary Rhodes marmite recipes links, so I am adding them below. Long live Marmite!

I'm a Marmite hater.
My boyfriend thinks I'm weird, but I like Bovril (it's "beef extract" as opposed to "yeast extract") and things that are Marmite flavoured (like Walkers crisps.) And I also like Twiglets, but if you gave me a Marmite sandwich, I wouldn't eat it.

In the field of yeast extract spreads, I would have to go with Vegemite. Marmite if i'm desperate.

Love it.
Try it on cheese on toast:
Make toast, butter it, put on the marmite then grate cheese on to it. Melt the cheese under a grill.
:)
