The real author of the book of Hebrew is not known, but most scholars agree that the author was Paul.

The Epistle to the Hebrews claims to have been written, or at least dictated, by James the Greater. NOT the brother of John the Beloved Disciple, but the other one, who was most likely a cousin to Jesus through his foster father Joseph's family.

No one know for sure, but Paul is believed to be the author by most people. Scholars disagree on who wrote it.

Until recently, everyone agreed it was written by St. Paul.

Current opinion says "maybe not".

There's no new evidence to back up the current opinion, so I'll stick with St. Paul.

Yes, Many people believe Pual wrote it because it ends like most of his other letters do. I don't know for sure and I don't think anyone else does too. I know this because I woundered this myself.
