I tell my mom EVERYTIME I talk to her that I love her....and I speak with her about 5 times a week. (i am married, 2 kids and do NOT live w/momma.)
I learned a long time ago to say I love you to anyone I love EACH and everytime I talk to them even if its a 2 second conversation. Some family members think its weird and don't say it back...but you know what...no matter what happens, they will know how much i caare. In 14 years my husband i have never ended a conversation once (over the phone) without saying I love you. My biggest fear is the one day I don't tell my husband...my momma....my kids....I won't get another chance.
Today will be hard for you, but you are in my prayers.

My mother died when I was a baby so I never got a chance to tell her how much I love her. It's too bad people wait until it's too late. I know you must miss your mom every day but I believe she's with you always and you can tell her you love her right now. I'm telling my mother, too.

Although my mom lives in another state......we say it every time we talk on the phone. About 3 or 4 times a week. It isn't something that I was raised on.....but we started it when I moved away. I also say it to all my adult children, brother, sister or close friend. Saying it now........makes for great memories when they are gone.

I am middle-aged and still tell this woman who sacrifced and raised me, stood by me through all my trials and tribulations as well as my achievements, always accepted me no matter the situation- I still tell her that I love her when we correspond cuz' life is not guaranteed and 2 minutes from now you may regret you didn't say it and you no longer have the oppertunity. My 18 y/o son will still give me a hug and say "I love you Dad" each time he sees me, no matter who is around. It is about respect and commeraderie with a person, not a social issue.

i'm one of those person that leave words behind face's expressions or emotional sensations.. without the necessity to tell to mom or dad "i love you", but i know that i'm wrong and by now i'm intentioned to spend more words many times a day to remember them that they are my entire life..
because by other users i understand the bad feeling that one can prove losing a parent.. (or better i can only image, and this makes me very sad..)
