I don't think you can say that about ALL Christians. People who toot their horns the loudest about being a certain faith usually aren't the best examples of followers of that faith. I know many pagans who are intolerant and obnoxious about their beliefs, and I know lots of Christians who are kind and accepting of others, regardless of beliefs or lifestyle.
And in reading over your question, it seems that you're misinterpreting some of the stuff that's in the bible.

The bible tells Christians to treat all people with respect and dignity. It is the individual who gets religious experience and think he or she is better than everyone else.
I am Wiccan now, but spent all my life until 6 years ago in one type Christian church or another. I preached 25 years. I studied the bible diligently for 25 years.
I used to say that becoming a Christian would either change a person for the better or worse. I converted my best friend one time and this friend was a major druggie, but a good person at heart, but he turned his life around in some areas, but became a real jerk and turned on me. He got a little bible knowledge and a few months clean and sober and he thought he was hot stuff. A nice guy turned into an egotistical maniac.
Unfortunately this happens way too often. I also witnessed a man who was very much a criminal and his rap sheet had many offenses on it like burglary, attempted robbery, assault with deadly weapons. this man was on a 25 year parole and was a bad dude, but he turned his life around so much that he got a full pardon within just 3 years after his conversion.
Sadly though those types of conversions are very rare.
Being Wiccan I see more tolerance with others than I saw within the denominational churches. However from time to time I see a pagan try to tell others how to believe and it reminds me of the denominational people attacking me at every turn.
I used to think that the Rede, harm none and do as thou wilt was very liberal and allowed a person to run wild, but after being Wiccan for 3 years now, I see it is a rule that can be hard to follow at times. It also is a rule that when we take it to heart and actually live our lives by it, we will probably treat people a lot better than we are treated
My goal is to be tolerant of other faiths even if they attacke me for my beleif. .

Red Wolf, what a great name. Are you an American Indian? I am not Christian, I am Jewish. I respect all religions but I am wondering if you took that phrase be nice to all Christians out of contents? The PagaNISM YOU DESCRIBE SOUNDS beutiful and if I were your neiughbor I would want to shake your hand. Regarding Jericho, the Jews had wondered in the desert for 40 years and Moses was dead now. God had promised the land to the Jews and Joshua was now in charge, He sent 2 spies into Jericho to see what the people were like and the lay of the land. When the 2 spies returned to Joshua he was told that the inhabitants were hostile people. Therefore, his only choice was to attack because friendly cohabitation was not an option. Good luck to you

True Christians do respect all others no matter what their beliefs. Personally I don't push my Christian beliefs on anyone, I respect their decision to have different beliefs than my own, but before you throw something like Jericho up there like that, maybe you should read the entire story to see just how many chances they were given before they were destroyed.

Pagans are cool. They're upset with all of the hypocrisy in Christianity and doing their own thing, forging their own spiritual path. There's also a whole lot of Christians who respect all people, but no one pays attention to them because they don't stand out. It's the really irritating ones who think they're better than everyone.

Two books. Old-New. "Love thy neighbor" Jesus. Jericho is Old testament stuff.
But, more importantly, I think that you should buy a daily reader bible. It takes one year; cover to cover. You will no longer have to rely on others to tell you what it says. And since you already have something that is working for you, take what you like for your life and discard the rest. Knowledge is power.

situation is that Christians flatly refuse to settle for the fact that what they worship is the sunlight. Ever when you consider that Constantine & Eusebius and a pair others between 2 hundred-400CE made the only fictional & mythical sunlight GOD "Jesus" divine & allegedly "historic" in the NT that's clearly a pagan hobby play, an Astrological Drama and the character of Jesus is with out question an allegory for the sunlight. Ever when you consider that then Christians have easily no concept that their faith comes immediately from the pagan religions of historical Egypt, Sumeria, Babylon. even nevertheless this has been truthfully shown many situations over with problematic tangible Archaeological information it only makes no distinction to those undesirable deluded souls. Edit: It grew to become into Zeus's son "Apollo" that grew to become into the sunlight GOD. Dionysus wasn't a sunlight god however the god of wine. What he had in effortless with the mythical jesus grew to become into he descended into Hades and got here back, He grew to become water into wine at a marriage, ingesting and ingesting the "flesh" and "blood" of Jesus have been motivated by ability of the cult of Dionysus additionally. This grew to become into long previously Christianity ever existed. The "sunlight Gods" have been truthfully Apollo, Helios, Ra, Horus, Sol Invictus, Surya, and a minimum of approximately 15 others that I cant think of of on the 2d. fact is the mythical character of Jesus grew to become into in basic terms a conglomeration of numerous distinctive pagan myths, chief between them grew to become into Horus of which there are over 2 hundred similarities between the two, many easily same and Horus grew to become into written approximately some 3000 years previously the Jesus fantasy. the completed NT is an astrological drama following the sunlight cycle & the zodiac which BTW it is the place the "12 disciples" come from.

One think you have to keep in mind of anyone, regardless of their faith, is that they are still human. The world is seriously over populated and that will lead to fighting and disagreeing and this of course will divide people into group, whether it be by race, faith, nationality, or anything else that will separate. I think only the most ignorant people would want to not get along with others. The rest of us are usually willing to listen to others provided they are also willing to listen to us.
