Don't we have any updates from religion or is it just the story that lasted for 2006 years and still going, until when? What would it be like in the year 5000 A.D if we ever make it to tell the story of jesus. Are people likely to believe such story happened 5000 years ago?

If you read 2Peter 3:1-18, it could give you some insight on this. The heavens and the earth that are now are stored up for fire and are now being reserved to the day of judgement and of destruction of the ungodly men. Let this one fact not be escaping your notice, beloved ones, that one day is with Jehovah as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day. Jehovah is not slow respecting his promise, as some people consider slowness, but he is patient with you because he does not desire any to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance. Yet, Jehovah's day would come as a thief in the night. So, what sort of persons ought you to be in holy acts of conduct and deeds of godly devotion, awaiting and keeping close in mind the presence of the day of Jehovah.

Jesus and God are still here. Who said they left? There are lots of bad things that are happening in the world, but a lot of the good things are there, too. God is love and light, and He is in all things good; Jesus is a messenger of God. All things have a purpose, even the bad things that happen to us.

Many people think he will come back in 2012 because the Mayan calander was different then we use today.

They update us daily, just watch a sunrise or sunset, a baby being born ,etc.
