Since I retired I found more peace at night time than during the daytime. Its almost spooky to go to bed if its dark.I tried it one time and woke during the night and it weirded me out to wake and it was dark outside. I have been doing this for about five months. Is there anything medicallly that will affect me doing this if im sleeping ok?

There is nothing wrong with sleeping during the day and staying up at nights. The main thing is to get enough sleep, whatever time of the day you prefer sleeping. It might do you good to get some sunlight every now and then though, or increase your intake of vitamin D from food, because sunlight is an important source of vitamin D for us. Apart from that you have nothing to worry about.

It is possible you have this but. Sounds kind of normal to me. My dad did that for years. He would get awful migranes during the day because of the sun.

Sleep Disorders:
Narcolepsy

Narcolepsy is a neurological disorder that affects the control of sleep and wakefulness. People with narcolepsy experience excessive daytime sleepiness and intermittent, uncontrollable episodes of falling asleep during the daytime. These sudden sleep attacks may occur during any type of activity at any time of the day.

Nah! don't worry, you'll make your self sick. You're free now and can do as you like, enjoy it and have good sleeps during the daytime. I and my husband are retired and we usually do'nt go to bed much before 2a.m. and rise later than we used to. Trouble is that when visitors come we always get caught!

Na, you're fine.
My dad has done the same thing since he retired and he's fine with it. He's in fairly good heath for a 78 year old man so it hasn't effected his health any.
It does make it rather difficult to get him up for doc appointments, which I have to schedule for the afternoons, and things, but otherwise, he's fine.

Maybe you are turning into a vampire! Heh...
Well, as long as you sleep well, I think that you shouldn't worry.
I think that the natural thing is that people sleep at daytime and wake up after dusk.
Unfortunately, I can not do that.

Enjoy the new wings of being a nighthawk. It has its upsides. Many bartenders, waittresses and graveyard shift workers can relate. As long as you sleep well. It's all good. Enjoy your retirement and quit stressing out!!!!

I work nights and sleep during the day and I'm find, but if you are really worried about it then you may want to talk to your Dr.
