I had no problems with my previous LCD TV and sending the sound through to the amp, and have followed the manual for details, but to no avail. Should I be using a particular connector? The current one I have is a two pin to two pin.

It can depend on the design of the TV....

1] Make sure your RCA cabling is connected to the TV's -- Monitor output, or Tuner Audio output or Audio out.....whatever they label it as.......AND the Amp is and (you can't hear sound if the tv is plugged into Video 1 and the amp is set for CD)

2] SOMETIMES you have to turn OFF the speakers on the TV to ACTIVATE THOSE OUTPUTS.......(look in your audio menu for speaker : on...turn it off)

3] And if there is still no sound....you have to balance the volume control on the TV with the amp's volume control.....
What I mean is, you get no sound with One Volume control turned up and the other set at ZERO....

3a] You may want to set the amp at 1/2 of maximum volume, then try to adjust your TV volume...and remember, some TVs use OUTPUTS that adjust, and some just use a MAXIMUM ONLY output.....

So don't start out at maxxed out volume ok? 1/3 to 1/2 volume is a good starting point. Also, make sure the amp is selecting the proper input the TV uses.

just make sure your using audio out from the tv and it goes into audio in your amp ext, then make sure your amp is set to right input, not tuner,cd ,dvd etc, best way to check is to have sound down on tv so you know when you get it that its the amp and not the tv sound your hearing

if you are using the red/white phono connection.. make sure you have connected it to the tv audio out and not the ''line in'' one....
if not, it could be a dodgy lead.....
read the manual and see what it advises for audio out.. gluck
