What does the thought "Success without character is hollow" mean?

I know what it means but would like to have it explained in fine English as I have to say a thought on it. So please reply only if u can write smthng like an essay on it.

Broadly speaking, I would say that everyone knows what makes some people successful (talent, criativity, skills) and what keeps them successful (determination, hard work, innovation). However, there are some extremely successful individuals that lack moral strength and honesty. It is possible these people's true colors will show (someday, somehow). But it is also possible it won´t. In either case, there are two perspectives from which the above saying could be looked at: (1) from the outside, looking in; and (2) from the inside, looking in. In other words, acquaintances, agents or fans may focus basically on what they can get from those individuals' success (or skills). That´s why their character won´t be a factor. However, from the individuals' own point of view, it´s a totally different story. They know, deep inside, that their "success" doesn´t mean much. They know that "success without character is hollow".

I think u want to done Ur homework. very smart guy. if u want the whole essay on it then log on google. If not then i suggest u think it Ur self. I must say about this that it is right that if u have not a character then Ur success is in vain beocz in the our society people like those person who has quality of character with successful life. It not said that who has no character is not successful person but every one saw him with a strange sight. if have a successful person & u also have a moral ethics in u or many other good qulaities then ur fame is for everlast & u become a history but if u loose ur charcter then every one gave u disgusting comments. So be popular but make a difference b/w good fame or bad fame. Abu salem, Daud. saddam are also popular & successful in their life but they leave their character so every one hates him . Think about it every thing clear in front of u.

you point to something that is red, or many things that are red.

when speaking of the phrase "success without character is hollow"
you need to concider some examples.

Machines?
They can accheive miraciles on math, and logic.,
do you care about the machine?
does it care about itself?

prehaps you look into litature,
and look at mr scrooge
who was wealthy ( successful by his measure)
but he was unkind,

he could have died with all his riches, and no one would morn him
he could have been ill, and no one to care for him

we as humans need love and companionship,
and despite his weatlh, would have had none
water water everywhere, and not a drop to drink

and what of real live examples?
( slips my mind at the moment)

but I'll tell you this,
a bar of gold is cold,
but a hug is warm

and which would you rather have a vault of?

you won't die of a lack of luxuries, but you can die from a lack of love.

and too, if riches is not your aim
when you accomplish something,
is it not your first thought to tell someone about it?

lets say you cure cancer,
and you are so proud,
but you have no freinds,
everyone you know despises you because you treated them badly on the path to success.....
who cares that you did it?
you will celebrate alone,
and its not much of a celebration is it?
