some of us know what we want in oder to be happy and hence we have qualities we watch out for in our life partner. on what ground therefore would you not consider those qualities in choosing your partner? and what is always the end results of marrying based on sentiments?

Love and Happiness. Once this two are there, all the qualifications and sentiments you had would vanish away. Afterall, why wud a person get married if not for to be loved and be happy in a marriage. To the second question, marriage based on sentiments may end in a Disaster. This is because people change or refuse to change. You have to love people for who they are not expect the person to be what you imagine he/she to be. Love and Compatibility is the answer

There is not an "always" about it, but generally, this is not a good idea as there will be many squabbles or one person WAY less happy than the other. For having settled when they normally wouldn't have.

Sacrificing of criteria does not have to signify lowered self esteem, anxiety about one's standing or sexuality, but it can.
