my friend had a coffee and some weetabix this morning and has since told me she's suffering a sort of cracking in her jaw.

its possible your friend is suffering from inpacted wisdom teeth she should visit her dentist!It really hurts but it gets worse if you leave it!

could well be temperomandibular joint dysfunction will ne tender just in front of the ear. often caused by teeth grinding at night so tell her to ask her partner if she does! it is usaully a dental problem so suggest she sees her dentist

she probably dislocated the cartilage in the joint it happens sometimes dont worry after awhile it should stop.
