Could it be within months from when you guys first started the relationship or does it take years (maybe 3 or 4 years).What does it mean if a guy is taking long to commit to the relationship?

For a guy, it is love at first sight. Men fall in love through physical perception. However, there is no general time-frame and therefore, it varies according the different people. Thus, it depends on when the guy has that "spark" and realize that he enjoys the lady's company and this depends on the love chemistry between the guy and the lady. As for your second question, it means that the guy is not just ready to be blogged down yet. Men, they say, are like Big Babies and they cherish their freedom. Therefore, they would not just want to be curtailed by the other spouse so soon when the relationship starts, thus they decide to wait for a while and till the time is ripe.

dear sweetie, one cant have any specific time period for this I guess. I feel it also depends a lot, a real lot on whether initially the guy has a crush on the girl.....if it is so then he falls in love rather quickly. But if it is a relationship where he starts from scratch I guess it all depends on how charming and nice or helpful the girl is. Its more on the girl I guess. But Sweetie if you are asking this for your special someone then I guess you should go for him..for sure you'll be successful.

How long? There is no "realize he loves," he either loves her or doesn't. How long does it take him to fall in love? Depends on the guy. Depends on the lady.
There is only one source of information which matters here. The guy.
Ask him. If you're loopy about this guy, you should feel safe enough to go directly to him with emotional issues.

When a guy starts doing little sacrifices for the lady..that pretty much says he is inlove....however the commitment thing can be a bit longer. You dont wanna rush him because you dont want something that is forced.
