I have a two story house and a basement+attic, not really a huge house but a normal middle class sized home. So how many should I get, and where should I put them? or do I only need one in the middle of the house?
Also, what's the best kind of flea bomb? I want something that is effective but won't break my bank. anyone ever use a flea bomb? what kind did you use and was it effective?
How many times should I treat my home also?

check with your local vet to get either a spray or fogger that has IGR in it. insect growth regulator, this kills the adults, eggs and larvea. get a fogger because they stay low to the floor and don't go up and back down like a bomb does. look at the product label to see how much sq foot each one will treat. you will have to treat your animals with something topical like frontline or advantage also to interrupt the flea life cycle also. doing just a fogger isn't enough. and it can take up to 6mo to a year to completely have a flea free enviroment. if your cats go outside then going to be very hard to keep the hitchhikers out without keeping the frontline or advantage on them monthly.

fleas are nasty once you get them since they have a 4 stage life cycle and can control when they hatch. so unless you live in alaska or some where else just as cold you will have to treat things on an as needed basis. the only stage that can't be killed by any products is the pupua stage. and this is where they can lye dormant until optimal times.

as long as you get a product with an IGR in it this works great. if you get a fogger, I would put one in just about every room, or where the animals are the most and less where they aren't. good luck and hope this helps

Read the information on the label of the fogger. It will tell how many square feet it treats, which will let you know how many to buy.

Avoid any fogger which contains "permethrin" as an ingrediant. Although permethrin is harmless to people and dogs, it is deadly poison to cats.
