I have a friend who I told I care very much and have special feelings..but I have a BF that I am in love with...I told the guy I could never love him but I was scared to be his friend...Then my BF told me I shouldn't talk with him anymore so I told the guy that since I love my BF so much I have to respect my BF. He then wont answer me to say he inderstands why. I haven't seen him in 4 years and we were never a couple but he is a really nice guy so I hope not to hurt him but he won't answer me to say he understands..I really don't understand he told me he could never be angry and he used to check my Im messages but now no...why? I am confused..I don't think he wanted me for a GF so why is he acting strange..he doesn't want me to like him?

Although its a 4 years long story but have you ever thought that why you are unable to forget him, it means that there is something on your side. Sometimes centuries passes in waiting to hear positive responses from our friends. The main reason is that our ego as we keep on expecting that other party will do it 1st. Same is the case here. he ha been checking your IM but now since for so long you have not given any reply, he probably thought that you dont want any contact with him. Go to him ask him and say what ever you want before its too late. Please.......!

Have you reallly been waiting for FOUR YEARS for this guy to say he understands??? You can't be serious! Who cares if he understands! You told him quite plainly that you were not interested in him in a romantic way, and he went away to pout and has since gotten on with his life and probably forgotten all about that conversation and you into the bargain. Let go of the past already, honey, not all questions in life get answered.

dear .. u r so nice to care about ur guy , i think he is behaving like this cause he was disappointed . i mean he wanted u to be his gf but it was impossible for him as u told him that u r in love with ur bf , and his being nice made him take the choice of being away from u rather than anoying u with his pent feeling , His conduct is to some extent , reflects such feeling , but it could be that he was hurted when u told him that ur bf told u not to talk with him.

You quite obviously have feelings for this guy, because if you just wanted him as a friend, you wouldn't be obcessing about him until now. He probably understood straighht away and respected you and your b/f and so backed off. This guy I must say I respect him for doing what he did.
P.S: He did want you as a g/f, otherwise he wouldn't have backed off like that

I think youre taking this way too seriously. Maybe he got the hint & has moved on which you should have done when you asked for the space in the first place.

friendships can be a little tricky sometimes but u have to treasure them,,, and respect each other's decision, and real friendship should thrive under pressure and misunderstanding...when u say friends, u mean nothing more and u have to be honest with each other about that...so if he decides that it will be better for him to keep his distance from u now, u have to respect that
