I just asked a question. I didn't say I don't believe in God. Jesus, get a grip.

Because you are convicted in your lack of faith. To see it in the form of some people, I would agree with the sentiment. You feel that lack of faith and automatically you feel that you are being judged. True Christians never judge the person, though the may disdain the Sin. True Christians Know that they themselves are not perfect nor could they ever be. But they will still endeavor to love all men, Regardless of how those men feel about them.

I don't Judge people. Just as I don't want them Judging me. Because I know I am a Flawed Mudball, Just like the next man. But I have Hope that in the end, I will be made whole and clean in the Eyes of my Father.

Can the same thing be said about you? I cringe every time someone says they don't believe in God. It goes both ways. Hope you find whatever it is you're looking for.

Possibly because by Christian they really mean protestant and believe they are saved/justified by faith alone when faith in fact is only the beginning because faith without works is dead. This stems from false doctrine that we are saved solely by faith because the Bible says we are saved by faith but it was protestantism that added the word "alone" to that phrase using Paul of Tarsus' quotes about how we are saved by faith so that we may not boast in our works/salvation. In reality we may not boast of the works because the works are but a manifestation of our faith and how we show ourselves to be Christian and why Jesus Christ himself said : "NOT EVERYONE THAT SAITH UNTO ME LORD, LORD SHALL ENTER THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN;BUT HE THAT DOETH THE WILL OF MY FATHER WHICH IS IN HEAVEN"(MATTHEW 7:21) According to history books, the father of Protestant doctrine (Martin Luther)was a chronic masturbator that feeling guilty over the habit came up with this interpretation of Paul's words and was enlightened by this doctrine while on the latrine (today's equivalent of a porter potty). So most likely your reaction to the word Christian has less to do with Christ than it does with hypochrisy created by false doctrine aimed at self justification by someone that felt guilty while sitting on the crapper and which took off like wild fire amongst those that felt, and still feel, the greatest need for self justification. Salvation requires BOTH FAITH AND WORKS and not because I but because Jesus himself said so and for those that would dispute it, there is the Bible quote above(Mt 7:21)

I could offer you a Canadian strategy. We are famous for apologizing. In a case like that I would return them a Kind touch, a sympathetic look, and a consoling, "OH, I am so sorry, how long do you have? " or something to that effect. Properly done an apology can be both fun and effective.

Coz it shouldn't be the first thing out of there mouths. They should get to know you first and you them and then if religion does come up, then tell them, if they aint into it, then you let it go. You learn more that way and people have to be ready to turn to God, otherwise you just push them further away

Becauses usually thoser the ones that are going to try to make you feel like youra re either evil or stupid becasue you aren't same kind of christian as them, like if you don't live like they do you aren't a good christian. And when they encounter someone that isn't a christian at all...then its really on....and you're no alone....they make my flesh crawl....

Because most christians are moronic, whiny, preachy judgmental *******.

But maybe you'll find the one in a thousand that actually has some intelligence and spirituality. They're pretty cool.

Two possibilities come to mind:
1. You hate them and all they stand for, or
2. You feel threatened/challenged by them.

Only you know which it is.
