Try budget airlines that operate in Asia, such as Asia Air or China Airways. Other airlines have seasonal deals (like Gulf Air, for instance) which are a fraction of their normal fares. Once inside Thailand, there are good smaller airlines, such as Nok Air which now make it affordable to fly round the region.
Your local travel agency or newspaper is a good place to start browsing. Once you have a rough idea of the price you are willing to pay, you will need a credit card to book online direct with the airline if you come across something better on th Net.

Try FareChase, they search dozens of websites for you, so you dont have to!!
Or just type "flights to Thailand" in Yahoo's search, and fill the nifty search form that comes up.
