It depends completely on your circumstances, for example what nationality you are and for what reason are you wishing to immigrate. If you have skills in an industry that is in demand in Australia, you will have a much better chance. Just about all trades (plumber, welder, boiler maker etc.) are in strong demand at the moment. You must master the art of barbecue, be able to play rugby, drink other prospective immigration candidates under the table AND still be able to win a chess game...work on your pronounciation of 'oy', know your geography, and be able to catch a 'roo' bare-handed without hurting it. LOL
