The Beoing 7E7 is now the 787 Dreamliner. The Airbus a380 isn't doing very well at all. Boeing is doing far better with their 787 than Airbus's A380. Boeing is just an all-around good company. Boeing is currently working on an X prototype but for now they are just concentrated on the 787. Hope that helps.

When it was introduced, it was B7E7, then later it changed to B787, the B747-8 has the number 8 to show the technology connection between B787 and B747-8
