First say to yourself what you would be. And then do what you have to do.

Please continue seeking treatment, because there is definitely hope. If you are living on your own and able to meet the needs of everyday life, you're off to a great start! If you are not receiving adequate treatment from your mental health clinician, request a new one or file a grievance. As a patient with ANY chronic problem, you must be very proactive about your own care. Do not wait for someone to come to you with your solution, it will not happen. Go out and find it, and insist that your clinician be proactive in finding alternative treatments and therapies. Become an expert on your condition by learning everything you can about it (the internet is great for that, as is the library). You may very well come across something you did not know about that could help. Your thoughts are the only things that limit you, so stop being so negative. Whatever you wish to persue in life is available to you if you are willing to do the work. Some of us have to work harder than others to get the very same results, but that only makes us appreciate it more in the end. Don't give up on yourself, your goals, or your dreams. Just remember this--- "Whether you think you can or you think you cannot, you are right" Your thoughts define your outcome.

The important thing in life is not where you stand,But in what direction you are moving.

The key to motivation is to look at how far you have come Rather than how far you have to go.

"Destiny is what it is ... or is it what we make it to be?"
