does anyone have experience with the LA Superior Court's attitude toward missing jury duty because of chronic illness?

Check with the court. I'm sure you can be excused, but may need to file paperwork and/or a doctor's statement.

That varies from state-to-state, but a genuine illness would be just cause, I'm sure. Make sure you communicate your concern to the court and do as they instruct you to do.

yes, but you do need to have your doctor dictate a letter to the court house. Prior to calling your doctor call the court house and get a fax number for the letter to be sent to. It will help out and then you will need to sign a release at the doctors office prior to them sending out medical information.

You will need a letter from your Doctor, or a note from your Boss. If you didn't EVERYONE would do it!!!
