Some dogs are just not able to be car trained! I have a bassethound and besides her being HUGE..she refuses to shut up in the car...LOL You can try to take him out more often so gets used to it instead of just once in awhile, or try giving him treats when he sits nice and is quiet....Otherwise some dogs wont change like mine

You can buy a doggie car seat for him. It comes with an attachment that fits over the back of the seat so he can still see out and also has a seat belt harness for his safety. Do not let him in an open window he is small and fast if he falls out it will be the end for him. Protect your little friend and he can still enjoy a fun car ride. You can keep your attention on the road not on your dog.

then why do you take him in the car? He could distract you, jump out and get killed and possibly cause an accident. If you must take him in the car, invest in a carrier so that he can't jump around. The barking can be quieted (but will probably change to whining) if you use a muzzle (sp?) but why would you want to torture the poor thing? leave him home...unless you need to take him to the vet, he doesn't need to be in the car and you don't need the distractions

When you leave the animal in the car put the leash on it and then stick it out the window and roll the leash up in the window until the dog cant move. That will keep him safe from jumping out.

Get your Yorkie a car seat.
NEVER put a small, hyper dog by an open car window.

My dog goes everywhere with me. At first he was all over the van ,so I put him on my lap and after awhile he calmed down . then I bought a baby seat for him to ride in .he can see out the window. He loves when I stop at a light and he can see other people in their cars.

My mom's canine become like that too, and he or she finally positioned him down. with out attempting a expert canine coach or something. i can not have faith that a canine proprietor might enable their puppy chew absolutely everyone with out taking prompt disciplinary action, and that they don't seem to be those at here asking the question. The 'chew-ee' is. thrilling. The canine might have an irreversible neurological affliction, or that is at a loss for words, who is conscious? First provide up may be the vet, and the subsequent could be an excellent canine coach. there are various canine running shoes/colleges obtainable through fact it would not take countless potential or money to very own one, and that they don't seem to be authorized. i might ask around on the vet's workplace for a referral, or ask different canine owners.

when you go out, put him in a carrier cage n take him with you while you're driving. That way, he can sleep in there and do whatever he wants and still see the view. When you get to where you want to go, then go ahead and take him on the leash and give his legs some walking space.
