I’m not sure what to do.
It’s like this somewhat painful bump on my cheek but it doesn’t really look like anything else...it’s not red, I don’t know how to describe it (not that you want to know :0 ...)...it’s just like a bump on my cheek that is painful when I touch it but otherwise there is like nothing else to it...my skin looks normal on top of the thing... not like I see people get that are red with nasty head things...
What should I do about it?

Haha, no I do not believe it is a cyst. I appeared today out of no-where :(
Also- how long do these things usually take to heal?

hmmm... i'm assuming this is a recent development (like, it hasn't been this way for weeks). sounds like a zit in waiting. it's infected under the skin, but hasn't surfaced, yet. don't worry, it will. try laying a warm rag on it(to kind of coax it out), of maybe just dab with alcohol to try and head it off before it has a chance to surface. do not-by any means- poke or prod the zit in waiting. there are few things as nasty as a pissed off zit in waiting. you could risk infection of your face (gross and people will not be able to tear there stares away).
important: if it does not go away in a couple of weeks, you should visit a doctor as it could be a cyst (which is fairly easy to remove, but let the professionals do it or you could spread the infection to your entire face).
don't panic yet, tho. wait it out a while... the zit in waiting never disappoints.

Sounds like cystic acne to me. I've been dealing with it for over ten years and it's not very much fun.

The first thing to do: Leave it alone! Don't try putting warm or cold objects on it -- the infection is too deep for this to be effective. Do not attempt to squeeze it for the same reason. Any attempts at extraction will lead to the infection spreading outward, and you'll end up with a large inflammation on your face. If it's painful, try taking some ibuprofen (not on an empty stomach), and go to your M.D. or a dermatologist.

Seeing a doctor is the only way to truly manage this type of acne. There are topical lotions that can help, and different prescriptions. I've been on one called Minocin for a while (usually do a two-month round of it twice a year), and it's helped a ton. Some doctors also prescribe Accutane, but that's in extreme cases.

One more thing: Don't waste your time attempting to treat it with any of the over-the-counter medications (i.e. Clearasil). They'll simply dry out the skin covering the cyst, and you'll end up with a red, peeling mess. Not so pretty.

Hope this helps.

Most zits ooze pus, which is white. Boils ooze pus as well, but they are much larger and more painful than pimples. Clear/yellowish oozing fluid suggests that it might be an infection. I'd recommend visiting a dermatologist. The medications you've been using haven't been working and from what you describe, seem to be aggravating it. It could be a spider bite or something like that. I knew a girl who had a giant pimple/boil on her forehead...it turned out to be a spider bite she got while she was asleep. Acne regimens will NOT work for it...go see a dermatologist. They can give you something for it and maybe help keep it from scarring too much once it's healed.

Its probably still forming. Use a hot compress on the area for 5-10 minutes a few times today. If you do that, a white head will probabaly show up on the lump and you'll be able to get rid of it.

It sounds like your are just getting regular break out, so melt a regular asprin in a little bit of water enough to make a paste, rub in onthere before you go to bed and that should take care of it, asprin works like acne medicine. I tried that after a friend suggested it and it works great!

It could just be the startings of a pimple. sometimes they get like that before they come to a head, just wait and see what happens, and if it worries you too much, go see a specialist.

I had a zit that just wouldn't clear up and I went to my dermatologist who gave me a shot right into the zit. (can't remember exactly what it was called) It stings a little but it clears it up real quick.

If it has been there very long it would be a goog idea to see a doctor. It could be a cyst that may be cancerous

Go to a doctor. It is not acne for sure, so it must be something that has caused for your skin to act up.
