I went to a doctor because I had trouble breathing. I had no fever but I was so sick! I felt like I had pneumonia. He said it was allergies. So now I take benadryl for my allergies. I have noticed that whenever my allergies flare up, I get down in the dumps and depressed. I also have anxiety attacks occasionally. For me at least; it seems like there is somewhat of a connection. If I take my allergy medication I am able to breathe alot better and I dunnot have anxiety attacks at all. I was born with asthma but as an adult my asthma has vanished. Now its a matter of keeping my allergies in check. I guess the reason I'm asking this question is because I wonder if it has ever been investigated. After all; allergies are very common and so is panic disorder.

I was saying if I don't take my allergy medication I do have anxiety attacks and get depressed. The medication does help. Its doctor prescribed. The doctor was also aware of my mental health issues. What I'm saying is that if you can't breathe very well, then it could make your anxiety worse because anxiety has alot to do with breathing and being able to breathe. My depression seems to come and go. The allergy medication does make me feel better! But its not a solution to the whole problem. I think that it could be possible that allergies can cause an anxiety attack. Especially if the person is unaware that they have allergies.

is it the medication that is causing you to feel either more depressed or better? your question isn't too clear because you contradict yourself saying that when your allergies flare, you get depressed, etc. then when you take your meds you don't get anxiety attacks.

logically, i would suggest that it has to do with the medication if you feel better/worse depression/anxiety-wise when you take it.... however, i would suggest asking your doctor about this problem & see if they can help you to deal with it in a much better way.

Here's the solution: eat mostly like the cavemen did. Avoid dairy, grains (including corn), beans, refined sugars, and keep meat consumption low or just eat eggs. Eat mostly raw food. Of course, avoid processed foods. Eat a paleolithic diet plan (you can google this) and most of your problems will be a thing of the past. Eat organic food if you can.

People are generally not sick. They just don't follow a good diet strategy. Unlike most diets, this one will work. If you get nutrients into your system you will heal yourself.

Our lack of connection with the environment is what causes most anxiety. When you are on this plan, trying standing with bare feet in the dirt. This will help to ground you....
