i am so tired of americans attacking the mexicans for coming to america none of u belong here we are all immigrants and believe it or not the great U.S.A. does not have an official language. so my question is why attack the mexicans and not the canadians? the canadians can get in easier than mexicans plus that is how the terrorists came here.. mexicans have a fenced border is it because the mexicans want to work or because they have brown skin?

Because the majority of Illegals are from Mexico. I don't see any Canadian marching around holding up a canadian flag and demanding for things to be in their language. Mexicans do that. Maybe if more of them come her legally, actually learn the language, and be law abiding or just at least show some RESPECT, Mexicans won't always be targeted.

Probably because many do not speak the majority language which is English irregardless of whether we have an official language. Most Canadians speak English very well and so blend in the background. If you do not speak the majority language and expect the majority population to learn yours, people tend to notice and so, because the great majority of illegal immigrants are Mexican, they are noticed because they stand out from the majority.

Mexicans are being singled out because the largest portion of immigrants caught here illegally happen to be Mexican.
The illegal population is 54 percent Mexican. I got this figure from the center for immigration studies. And that study was done in 1997 how many more do you think are here now.
And why do they feel the need to immigrate here illegally? Why not do so legally? Do they believe that in America laws are meant to be broken? If they come here for a better life why not at least try to start off on the right foot- instead of stepping on everyone's toes.

Easy -- most of the illegal immigrants are from Mexio or other Latino countries. If they would learn to speak English and became US Citizens then most Americans would not have a problem.

As far as English not being the primary language of the US you are correct. However, all the millions of immigrants who came to this country, my mom from Germany, learned to speak English. Why should we have TV and radio stations, for example, in Spanish when we don't have them in other languages?

We need a border for Mexico because millions enter this country illegally instead of going through propper channels like Canadiens!

The majority of those in this country illegally are mexicans. Also, we don't need a fence to keep the Canadians out because they aren't desperately seeking a home in the U.S. As far as the "we are all immigrants" statement, I was born in this country.

It makes no sense to attack Mexicans just because they are Mexican. Why are they targeted?

Get a job, look at all the money that's being taken out for state and federal taxes. That's your money going into the pot to better society. That money goes to various things not limited to education, military, medicine, etc.

You and all the other taxpayers have to give Uncle Sam a cut.

Now imagine a Mexican or border hopper coming here and earning money under the table. They weren't taxed, but in some liberal places they are given government benefits that were paid for with MY MONEY and YOUR MONEY that paid Uncle Sam.
The point is, you have to pay taxes and the illegals don't.

What's worse is if they have a baby on USA soil (also called an anchor-baby) The baby and the parents are all considered eligible for welfare now - welfare that is funded by YOUR MONEY.

It's mean and cruel, but us white, current immigrants are here because it's survival of the fittest, we won the most wars, fought the best battles and remained the victor. Was it worth it?
You betcha - we are at peace with Mexico now and have tons of "legal" Mexican immigrants. As a white gringo I am proud to call them my brothers and sisters.

You are deported from this country regardless of your country of birth, (Germans, Polish, French, Iranian, Iraq, Canada, Mexico..etc) if you decided to skip becoming a citizen. This isn't about racial targeting, it's about paying for freeloaders.

I live in Arizona. On Nov 7th 2006 a few amendments were passed further punishing illegal aliens. This is the key word here, "illegal".

U.S.A. does not have an official language, I doubt that it will.

Arizona though, passed a law on the 7th of Nov that made English the official language of the state. It's the 28th state to pass such a law. Call it what you want, but I think it's great. I doubt every company in Arizona will wipe out their other language services though.

I don't see Mexico or any other countries forcing themselves to provide services in all other languages. If you want to live in the country, learn to adapt or suffer.

I'll agree with you on one thing, terrorists don't need to be invited in. To be more secure the US needs to fence itself in. When you have people that want to cut your head off because you don't share their religious beliefs that's what it takes. I doubt it will keep them all out, but it's a start.

Now if we can just keep Canadians out.....just kiddin!

I think Mexicans are being singled out b/c they are the largest group of people coming here illegally. I also believe it's b/c of Latinos being the "loudest" group of people trying to 'change our country'. You don't see Polish people in the streets demanding everything being written in Polish. You don't see Italians on the news saying, "We have a 'right' to be in the US; even if we don't pay taxes and get everything for free".

I do agree with you that we are all 'immigrants'. That is correct. HOWEVER, we are not all ILLEGAL immigrants. The original immigrants who came to this land literally DIED trying to break away from Great Britian. They FOUGHT to be here. When others began to follow for the same opportunities, they did so PROUDLY by becoming LEGAL contributors to society. When Social Security came about in the 1920s, immigrants came here and applied for the card and CONTRIBUTED their money like the rest of the citizens already here. They also didn't EXPECT things handed to them or for those already here to learn OTHER languages. They came here with pride and dignity; they came to BECOME a part of what was ALREADY IN PLACE. They didn't come here to try to CHANGE it to fit their selfish needs. They didn't come and demand we stop speaking about God, stop pledging to OUR flag or to STEAL from us. They came to realize a dream they couldn't have in their homelands. But they left their homelands BEHIND and PROUDLY 'became' American. A lot of immigrants today do NOT do this. The immigrants of today want the same things immigrants of the past did, but they don't want to come by it LEGALLY. They want to take, take, take; and give nothing in return. If you aren't a citizen of this country, you can't be in our military; therefore someone else is out there fighting for the freedom of people who live here, yet contribute NOTHING.

Personally, I wish people would drop all the ethnic references; b/c by doing so, it does give off the impression of racism. The race issues prevent us from focusing on the REAL issue: ANYONE; regardless of race, ethnic background, color or religion, who does NOT have legal citizenship to be in the US; is an ILLEGAL immigrant. PERIOD. Doesn't matter from where on the globe someone comes from. If they come here without becoming a citizen; they should be told to leave.

This question has been asked so many times and the answer is always the same. Mexicans expect us to adapt to their culture when we haven't invaded their country. They invaded ours, remember? They don't want to assimilate. They want America but they want to pretend that they are still in Mexico. Also, Mexicans make up the largest majority of illegals, as I'm sure you already know.
