YES the LORD does hear and answer prayer. There are certain conditions that will help make sure they are heard. The first condition is that we need to belong to the LORD. If we do not, the first prayer HE hears is to trust HIM.
Also, do not count on selfish prayers being answered, God is not our personal genie. We need a Savior more then a genie.
Some of the best answers to prayer I have had involved other. I am a pastor of a ministry for those who have been abused. I have prayed that I could stand at the gates of hell and turn some way. I would much rather do this then to speak in the best cathedral...well, this prayer has been answered literally....There have been several times that I have been informed by someone that they were within moments of taking their own lives when they surfed the net one last time..and found Shattered Men. They know someone cared...that they could talk to someone and we were able to see those people healed of the wounds of abuse.
YES GOD hears and answers prayer and HE knows who you are talking to as long as we honestly seek HIM

I don't know where you get your information (abt the mistranslation of the name of Jesus) but it doesn't really matter what you call Him when you pray to Him. The God of my understanding is all-knowing, all-seeing and all-powerful, and when I pray to Him, I know He hears my prayers, because I see the results of the answers in my life. I have completely surrendered my life to God, the Holy Trinity of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit - three in one. Since I have allowed Him to direct my life and pray every day that He will show me His will for me and what He wants me to do, I have true peace, real serenity, and overflowing joy because I know I am one of God's children. This is my faith and my belief: When I told myself there was no God and tried to run my own life the way I wanted to live, I was depressed and miserable, and sought relief from my pain through alcohol and drugs (which didn't really work, by the way). But when I let go absolutely and asked Him to take control of my life because I had made such a complete mess of it, my life changed dramatically. I praise God every day for His faithfulness and care over me, and thank Him every night before I go to sleep for his everlasting love and forgiveness of my sins, As it says in my copy of Alcoholics Anonymous (the Big Book, as they call it), " . . . And suddenly, we realize that God is doing for us what we could not do for ourselves." I have two part-time jobs now, my relationships with my children (ages 22 and 19) have never been better, and I am truly happy for the first time in a very long time! Although my faith is based on what I read in the Bible, I have not quoted a single verse to you - I only have told you how God has changed my life!

Woe, you are very confused. Jesus is the translation of the name Yeshua. It's like Keifa, I believe, and Peter. Jesus is God Almighty, Omnipresent, Omnipotent, All-Knowing. He knows who you're praying to. you can't call God Bob because that's disrespectful. It doesn't matter how Jesus looked really and it doesnnt matter that artists drew Him wrong. Jesus is still God. Jesus was Jewish and of the Jewish religion. The whole religion of Judasm is waiting for a messaiah, a savior. Jesus was that savior and took away our sins and lives in heaven. He is definitely not an imaginary friend.

3 In reply Jesus declared, “I inform you the reality, no that is ordinary to make sure the dominion of God except he's born again.” 4 “How can a guy be born even as he's previous?” Nicodemus requested. “honestly he can't enter a second time into his mom's womb to be born!” 5 Jesus responded, “I inform you the reality, no that is ordinary to enter the dominion of God except he's born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh provides beginning to flesh, besides the undeniable fact that the Spirit provides beginning to spirit. 7 you mustn't be shocked at my putting forward, ‘you should be born again.’ 8 The wind blows anyplace it pleases. You listen its sound, yet you won't be able to tell the position it comes from or the position it is going. So that is with everybody born of the Spirit.” 9 “How can this be?” Nicodemus requested. 10 “you're Israel's instructor,” reported Jesus, “and do you not understand this stuff? 11 I inform you the reality, we communicate of what all of us recognize, and we testify to what we've considered, yet nonetheless you people do not settle for our testimony. 12 I have spoken to you of earthly issues and also you do not trust; how then will you've faith if I communicate of heavenly issues?

Here we go again! Why must we continue to try to argue completely senseless points? WHO CARES? Why does everybody try to make Christianity so complicated?!?! God knows when we are talking to Him. Do you really think the Creator of the universe is that dumb? Who cares about "logical" answers? God doesn't give a flying flip about logic. He requires faith. If I use a lot of big words will that prove my intelligence? How intelligent does one have to be to acknowledge that Jesus Christ died for his/her sins? It's a simple yes or no question as to whether or not we choose to accept the gift and be saved or reject it and be damned.
btw, my very REAL Savior Jesus Christ does answer my prayers.

All prayers should be directed to Jesus' Father in heaven, Jehovah God. [ Exodus 6;3], and they should always be THROUGH OR VIA Jesus. [(John 14:6) Jesus said to him: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.]
The ONLY place that we can get knowledge of the effectiveness of prayer is FROM the Bible. There is no other source.
Books on philosophy do not count.

The Son of God is the Son of God, no matter what you call Him. The talent (or lack of talent) of translators does not alter the mission and saving work of the Christ.
Being God, He knows everything including the thoughts and feelings of the person raising his or her heart and mind to God in prayer.
What the Son of God actually looked like does not matter. What matters is that we see the Son of God in everyone around us.
Christianity is the worship of the Son of God, the Christ. It could not have started before Christ became a human to redeem us. It is the natural offshoot of Judaism after the Messiah.
The most real thing in the world is the fact that God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him might not perish but might have eternal life.
With love in Christ.

Jesus said in the most famous text in all the bible "For God [The Father] "SO" Loved the world that He gave [Jesus the second member of the Godhead gave Himself] that whosoever [you] should BE-LIVE in Him should not perish but have everlasting life, and about Him, Jesus when He died the torn vail put a end of the temple service which was to point to Jesus, before He died you had to go to a priest to have your sins forgiven AFTER you took the life of a lamb, but THE LAMB OF GOD now that He has risen and is at the right hand of The Father, you can come to Him THROUGH HIS NAME, Jesus said of Himself that He is THE I AM, that name is telling you He is in fact God, if not then how in that verse Jn 3:16 give you life if in fact He does not have life in Himself to give it read the verse and John 1 the first chapter, Jesus is indeed God, and Jesus Christ DOES NOT FAIL, free bible lessons www.itiswritten.com hay visit A Seventh Day Adventist Church on Sabbath [saturday is the seventh day sabbath sunday has never been called holy or sabbath in all the bible] and God bless.

from your lyrical and eloquent writing I have to assume you are some what of an intellect... sorry, Jesus,Yeshua or the son of God is not to be theorised or dissected, somewhat like love. its not to be categorised, just experienced. When you do you will wonder why you wasted all your energy and time on such futile questions.
