The number of Yahoo groups that need to have all the information on the webpage in Esperanto is growing fast!

Esperanto groups have members from countries around the world. The only language they have in common is Esperanto. Many times they don't know what the messages they receive from Yahoo are all about.

I'm willing to help make this happen by providing the necessary translations. Other discussion groups already offer it, but I would prefer to stay with Yahoo.

Proposed address for Esperanto groups: http://eo.groups.yahoo.com/

Dankon!
Mar-Kardenas @ GrupoAmikema.org

PS: Have you Googled "Esperanto" lately?

Nice suggestion indeed.

Perhaps I've lived a sheltered life (although I've travelled to at least 35 countries), but I don't know a single person who speaks Esperanto. Despite the best efforts of some very bright people (step forward Lazarus Ludwig Zamenhof), I believe it's a language that never really `caught on.' Still, why not have Yahoo available in Esperanto, also Swahili and Pidgin (for the people of Papua New Guinea).!
I wonder if there are any original songs in Esperanto.

Well it is a nice idea, but there is no-one who speaks just Esperanto. The purpose of having yahoo in other languages is so that people whose first language is not English can easily access and understand it. Esperanto is no-one's first language. If lots of people learned it as was the hope it could become a common language among the people's of the world. However that simply has not happened and due to the USA English is used much in that way now.

If enough people ask for an Esperanto site (an online petition wouldn't hurt either) yahoo might add an Esperanto site.

Why don't you just write to Yahoo? And no, I haven't Googled "Esperanto" lately, nor have I "Yahooed" it!

Is it a language? maybe that's why it's not an option. No offense, but I don't think a lot of people know what that is or where Esperanto is :/, or maybe it's just me
