My life is quite OK, but I feel so down all the time - nothing really makes me as happy as it used to, and nothing excites me, I'm just this cynical sad slob for no apparent reason. Is that what happens when people turn 30, or is there something wrong about the way I approach life? Is it maybe wrong to expect it'll be a blast, and that's why I feel that way?
What are your thoughts on the topic of being gloomy despite life being good? What causes that?

I don't know what causes it, but you're not alone if it helps you at all. Sometimes it's all too much and I just want to sit in the corner and stare at my feet. There's no particualr reason, sometimes there's a good reason for feeling happy and I just can't do it. I think we all have dark days/ weeks/ months, and sometimes it takes for someone to reach out and say everything will be ok.
SO this is me, a complete stranger, saying chin up, everything will be ok. And don't listen to people when they say think positive, it just makes it worse.

Smile, it makes people wonder what you're up to
