Suppose you had the power to decide whether your children would go to hell or heaven after his/her death. Your son is a homosexual. He does not listen to you and goes on to live the 'gay lifestyle'. He dies at the age of 42 from AIDS.

Now he is before you, and you are to decide whether he will go to heaven or burn in hell for ever? What will be your descision?

Will you send him to hell?

Yes?

or

No?

Better if you give a straight answer ( Yes/No ) instead of beating around the bush saying "I'll give an appropriate punishment" or "I cannot make such descisions because I'm not god" etc etc.

The question is not about god. It's about you.

And if you say "Rules are rules" the whoever made the rules is the most cruel person ever. We're talking about eternity here, not even a life-sentence.

Admitting that I am not God isn't a straight answer? Now I have heard everything!

I see where you're going with this.

If an EARTHLY father would love his son enough and be forgiving enough to NOT send his child to Hell. Then, how much MORE forgiving and loving is the HEAVENLY Father???? That whole thing? So if I would send my son to Heaven then, God likely would also?

I don't know for sure, but I think I'd have to say HELL. Because rules are rules and we all have to live and die by them. God has established rules. A homosexual can be forgiven and go to heaven but MUST repent. If he's not repentant then he MUST go to hell whether I want that or not. Those are the rules. Period.

I dunno though. . . ..

Edit to add:

It looks like a lot of people on here don't understand that you could LOVE your child AND STILL PUNISH them. In fact it says in the Bible that a loving parent punishes their child for his/her own good. If you spare the rod then you spoil the child. Loving a child doesn't mean you can't punish it. This is probably part of the reason kids these days are so screwed up with no manners, their parents don't punish them because they "luuuuuuuv" them.

By asking for a simple "yes" or "no" you are wrongly assuming that everyone is a child of God. Every human being walking on the planet today is not a Son of God. Many people will be more than happy to tell you that right here in this forum. If a person chooses to live a homosexual lifestyle they are rejecting God. That person is not God's son. When he dies of AIDS and goes to stand before God in judgment God sees him as the sinner He is.

Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Of course not. And neither will God.

We love our children, how could our love be possibly more than God's love? It can't. So obviously religions are wrong to try to scare people into being what they want them to be.

People are who they are and make mistakes and god loves and forgives, just like a parent, and even more than a parent. Even more because God would be there even after some parents can no longer forgive a child for something they do.

I'm sorry. You say you're not talking about God. Only God can pass such judgement.

Great question.

The answer is absolutely NO!

Of course, the fact that I don't believe in hell kinda helps. But even if I did, it would still be no.
