You will likely need to connect once in Asia, and for sure another time in the USA.

The Asia connection will probably be through Taipei, Seoul, Hong Kong or Tokyo. This is really easy, you just need to look up the gate number and walk to another gate.

You will probably fly into Seattle, Portland, San Francisco or Los Angeles (possibly Denver).

Even if you have boarding pass all the way to Idaho, when you *first* enter the USA, you will need to:
- wait and go through immigration to get your passport stamped
- wait to pick up your luggage
- go through customs inspection
- hand your luggage back in again

Only after this you can walk to the gate for your connecting flight to Idaho.

Entering the USA can take long, make sure you have 3 hours or more between flights (2 hours is usually OK, but not always). If you miss the connection, don't worry. Talk to the airline -- they will to put you on a later flight, and probably pay for a hotel if necessary.

It may help to get a map of the U.S. airport you are connecting through on the internet -- some (e.g. Seattle) are not very easy to get around.

Good luck with your trip :)

Yes, you will not have a direct flight to Idaho. The connection depends on when you fly, what airline you use and the time of your flight. If you have purchased a ticket call the airline - but your E-ticket itinerary should give you that information.

If you have not purchased a ticket yet, the airline will give you the information. You will have to deal direct with the airline for an international ticket. :)

You will have to take a domestic connection as the international airlines usually stop at New York, LA, San Francisco.

Thai Airways only flies direct from Bangkok to New York. There are many other options that involve one or two stops from other parts of the US. I flew New York - Bangkok via Tokyo, but you can also do that from San Fransisco on United too.

Yes you will. Most likely you'll stop in San Fran or L.A. in California.

You should go to the Yahoo!Travel site and type in your specifics.
