I dated a guy (briefly) a few months ago but really screwed things up fast because I went psycho with the hormones/b-control. My last "crazy call" was about 3 1/2 weeks ago. It's finally out of my system and I'm back to myself. I called him a few nights ago. We talked briefly (I woke him up). I didn't bring anything up because guys seem to hate that. I could tell he noticed I was back to myself. He accepted my invitation to get a drink after T-day. Is it a date? I'm guessing I won't know if it's a date until afterwards. Should I offer to get the check since I invited him? (We're early 30's).

Thanks!

it is possibly a prelude to a date, he just wants to have the opportunity to see if u have the "crazy eyes"

this will tell him if ur crazy... if u are crazy he will not date u... if ur okay then yep u gonna date

this is a universal thing

I think that in some way you could consider this as a date becuase you previously went out with him. But that is an excellent sign that he accepted to go with you on a "date" or friends night. He probably wants to know how you are doing, and I would say everything is going to depend on that night, depending on how he sees you. And about the check, well if you invited I would say you pay. Just invite him out for a coffee, drink, or something light hopefully there will be a second date.

Does it matter what you call having a drink with a friend, or somebody you are trying to find out if he will be a friend. All great relationships need some level of friendship to work.
So have your drinks and hopefully some stimulating conversation and a few laughs. Suggest that since you invited him you will pay and go with his response whatever it is.
If you are trying to convince him that your hormones are stable I suggest going slowly with the sex part of the relationship.
And for heavens sake, you are both in your early 30's so begin to act like that instead of 12 year olds.

I would get the check if I invited someone out. I personally would just let it be a drink, and if all goes well, see about a date later.

Dont consider it a date just yes. He might just be joining you to test if you really are normal. If you decide to see each other again then you could call that a date. Try to loosen up, even asking this question shows that you are too tense about this topic.

I'd say don't go into it expecting it to be a date, assume it's not and see if it leads somewhere else from there. i don't know about the check maybe if you really want to show you're friendly then go ahead, it's a nice gesture.

Well if you guys were going out then its going to be a "date". Really its just a gathering to see if things will go well. If you guys can hit it off again then you two can continue.

Just try to play it cool and see how the night goes but get your expectations too high.
