A well bred white German Shepherd should fit the AKC breed standard for the German Shepherd Dog, with the only exception being color..
The desired height for males at the top of the highest point of the shoulder blade is 24 to 26 inches; and for bitches, 22 to 24 inches.

there is a variety known as Shiloh shepherds, that are larger..>

According to the Shiloh Shepherd Breed Standard, the height for mature males is a minimum of 28 inches, with an acceptable range from 28-32 inches (averaging around 29 inches). The height for mature females is a minimum of 26 inches, with an acceptable range from 26-30 inches (averaging around 27 inches).
They can be the accepted GSD colors, but including white.

I'm not 100% sure, but we had neighbors that had a white one and the regular sheperd the white one was still a puppy and was like 2 times the size and height of the regular one and it was a adult so I think they are.

Faults shouldnt be bred. Ya it can be a good pet, but PET quality animals shouldnt be bred. The point of breeding is to preserve and improove the breed. That means any dogs with faults, temperment or health issues should be spayed and neutered.. breeding should be left to dogs who have earned CH and working titles, and have passed genetic health tests. No, she should NOT be bred to her brother. In breeding and line breeding should be left to those who are very experienced and knowledgable about genetics and the genetics of the dogs' pedigrees. Otherwise, you have NO idea what recessive genes your dogs have, and there is an increased risk of genetic problems. When it comes to selecting a dog for breeding.. no, a dog is not a dog.

The answers TikiTiki gave was pretty close. The White is a rare dog, she mentioned the bloodline, you'll notice the size deference, their temperamental, some of them have to schooled about kids. But loki, I've seen perfect pairs, health wise, attitude, they are generally more slenderer than our Shepard's. but sometimes five(5) to (six(6) inches taller don't get me wrong, they really aren't that much more thinner. OH.......their loyal to all get out. And beautiful as a pair...the experts say they do better that way. My Uncle got one the first time.....the pup was lethargic, got another one.....problem solved...he's had six(6)......LATER

No, they are the same size as a regular shepard...Males and females will vary in size..And of course different bloodlines will have a little to do with height as well, but the color has nothing to do with it.

No, my neighbor has had 7 within the past 19 years, and theyre the same height, etc.

They really are beautiful dogs, and in my experience, I feel like theyre quite rare cause i dont ever see anyone owning them often.

They have all the attributes of a GSD but they are white. Some GSDs are bigger than others and white GSDs are.

The couple I've seen have been smaller, but could've been from poor breeding. The one my mom has looks really pathetic, sausage type body and small head.

Since they've already got a terrible *MAJOR/DISQUALIFYING!!!!* ***FAULT****,they can easily have MORE!!!

Like being OVER or UNDER-SIZED or out-of-proportion or ANY/ALL the other CONFORMATION *FAULTS* dogs have.

Go READ THE *BREED STANDARD*!!!!
