I can't get her in till later on in the morning, but talked to a vet, and have given her the benadryl...I have 2 bags of ice, and applying them to the sides and underside of her jaw. Hoping that this works....

You can give her child's dose of benadryl to help her until you can get her to the vet.
dogs 30 to 50 pounds, give 25 mg...dogs over 50 pounds, give 50 mg. Use only the plain Benadryl formula.> http://www.paw-rescue.org/PAW/PETTIPS/DogTip_InsectBites.php

warm compresses will work better than the ice. you can also try alternating every 20 min heat then ice. but with swelling to the face and not taking her to a vet tonight you are risking her face swelling so much that she can't breathe. be careful and keep an eye on her for problems breathing. good luck

be careful about giving your pets medication unless recommended by a vet only.

Did you give her the Benadryl? Not sure how much good the ice will do as you will probably have to sit and hold it on her face as she can't. If she gets worse after the Benedryl, find a 24 hr vet and take her to them.

Your shar pei may be having a severe allergic reaction to something. You need to find a way to get her to an overnight emergency animal clinic.
If it is an allergic reaction this could be a life and death situation.

Until you can get her in, keep cold compresses, like an ice pack on her face and neck, gently patting the areas and keep her cool.

Please, get her to a clinic. You must have a friend or someone who can help you get there.

Take the dog to a vet ok, don't give her anything.
