Same here. I can't stand to see a hurt animal, it breaks my heart. Not that I'm okay with seing hurt humans...but I know exactly what you mean. Animals are so innocent and helpless in times like that. Aww....I need to go on to a happier question. BTW....I saw Old Yeller when I was a kid....never watched it again. Same with a movie called Bear. I hate those kinds of movies.

what you said is sad. To me is equal, suffering of an animal or a human being it is suffering, I cannot stand suffering no matter who is the subject of that , I would be devasted if a saw a puppy suffering same if I saw another human suffering. Just do not understand why you feel the way you do.

No, it's not weird at all. Our society has changed so much in the way of thinking that violence of any type is acceptable to humans. We see it on tv - murder, rape, torture, whatever you can imagine you can turn on your tv and see performed on a human being. These same acts of violence would never be allowed to be shown on animals. That in itself shows that society has numbed itself to acts of violence against humans and therefore devalued the lives of human beings while continually trying to build up our sympathy for animals. We are a product of our environment unfortunately. Your feelings fall right in line with what tv & movie producers wish to instill in you. You are easily led and being so you are MISLEAD in believing that an animals life should ever come above that of a humans.

No, sometime I think animals are smarter than humans, humans have choices and can think !! ,so whats the excuse?.
I know I can train a dog to do some things , quicker than a human. I'm not trying to be mean either, just been out there and around allot. So I feel ya. Does this make us any less compassionate ? Who knows !!! What talks to ya, talks to ya.

yes and no.you're proably just bumming on the fact that lots of people don't have half the love that a dog shows for it's owner.
comes right down to it,i think you'd save either one, especially if that "one"was a child.

specific, through fact i might on no account forgive myself for letting him or her die. would not the animal kill an harmless human to maintain yet another of an identical species, if put in an identical place? all of us have a staggering connection with different human beings extremely than animals

I don't think so. I feel the same way. A human can be evil; an animal will never be evil or purposely take advantage of you like a human animal would.

If we're weird for thinking that way, then so be it.

its not weird at all....animals havent commited sins like humans...af course that dosent mean humans should die.....but animals deserve the right to live just as humans.....but then again....its more ''humane''....to save a human........you get wher im commin from.....but just because you feel that way dosent mean ur weird....

It is not a healthy mind. pls try not to. it is because you like to deal with only something weaker then you. you fear to deal with the same level (human). Those kind of ppl used to be unsucessful in their lives.
