-Is it good for you, because I feel like its fast weightlifting which i also do. Meaning I feel a huge burn while doing it and the same tiring feel afterwards. Does hard fast drumming involving a lot of armage help size or fit in any way? Pros/cons?

Drumming is unlikely to do much for your muscle mass, because there isn't a lot of resistance going on. However, it's probably pretty good for muscle tone and strength, and if you get your heart rate up it's good cardio, especially if you can keep your arms at or above the level of your heart. (That works the heart a little extra, because it has to pump blood UP instead of down.)

The classic rule of thumb for exercise is that you do light weight with lots of repetitions if you want definition (that is, "cuts" between the muscles), and heavy weights with few repetitions if you want mass (that is, to "bulk up.")

Clearly, even the most vigorous rock drumming falls into category 1. Make no mistake, it IS good for you -- that's why you feel the burn while doing it. And it would be a good "partner exercise" with high-weight power lifting, because it would help define the big muscles you're getting with the high weights, and also keep working on your speed, timing and cardio condition.

does fast blah blah blah drumming increase mass,,,YES!
Is it good for you,,,,,YES
Does it help size or fit(ness),,,YES

Pro = helps lose baby fat, reduces total body fat, increases tone of muscle mass, increases size of muscles

Cons = moms and dads insisting you "keep it down" and neighbors complaining to Mom and Dad to have you "keep it down". Arm cramps.

Opinion: F-em, don't quit drumming, do it half naked (your choice on which half is naked) and turn on the spotlights so you sweat up a storm and get used to the heat of being on stage. Drink lots of water so you don't get arm cramps and lift weights and RUN for oxygen endurance for those long riffs.

Step on a bathroom scale before you start your practice and then weigh yourself again directly afterwards. You could lose up to a pound of sweat each set.

I like Scott F's answer too. I knew what he was saying, I just didn't know how to describe it as good as he did.
