if your hair is always up in a tight ponytail, it may cause some damage.

the main problem that u will face if u wear a tight pony tail all the time, is that the hair on your forehead will be pulled back continuously, leading to loss of hair in your hair line. the end result would be receding hair line or a broader forehead, which is actually called female baldness.

females dont actually speaking bald completely like men. the pattern is very much different here. when the hair is continually undergoing a pull from a pony tail then there is gradual receding of the hairline from the forehead. this may not be obviously visible, but if u took a photo and compared it with another photo, taken after a couple of years, then u r sure to notice the difference in the breadth of your forehead.

pony tails dont cause wrinkles. wrinkles are caused by dry and aged skin.

pony tail does not cause your hair to be more dried out or damaged. irrespective of what style u adopt, a good conditioner and hair and scalp moisturiser is what is required for hair health. otherwise irrespective of your hair style, your hair will be damaged and loose its lustre and have split ends, or break in the middle or thin out or dry out and look lifeless.

of course, dont wear a pony tail with a rubber band, b'cos it tends to cling on to the hair and pulls and breaks it, when u remove it. a hair band or a ribbon or a string, or a butterfly clip, is fine.

hope this answers your queries. good luck.

It can, over time, pull your skin back alittle, and then it may sag later, if you do it like everyday for years and years. One thing I am sure of is that if you wear a tight ponytail too much, it will break the hair off where the ponytail starts at, causing you to have short hair around your head and longer hair towards the center of the ponytail. This happened to me when I was like 12. Try a loose ponytail, or don't do it too often. Good luck!

Ponytails don't cause wrinkles, but if you wear your hair in a ponytail the majority of the time it will create breaks in the hair shaft at the point where it is gathered. This is obviously damage and should be avoided. Don't wear your hair in a ponytail all the time, and if you do, make it a loose one with a soft ponytail holder.

no it won't cause wrinkles, but it can give you headaches if it's too tight. Don't use rubber bands or put tight pony tailers on, use soft cloth ones and ribbons to tie your hair up, they even have pretty barrettes that will hold hair up like a pony tail now. It does damage your hair, the tight tailers rub and break off hair and damage the shafts too. You probably would have alot of split ends.

I like ponytails, buns are nice too. Either a little ragged sometimes so you don't look too professional, uptight.
