I will obey your rule and say she should exercise. Without a healthy body to support it, the brain risks everything.

AHA! You didn't say she had to choose between worshipping a CHRISTIAN god or exercise, so I'd say, she could become a Shaolin priest and learn martial arts, thus being part of a (sort of) religion AND getting lean and mean!
However, if you insist on it being Christian worship, she should exercise. She can always pray while she's doing the laundry, shopping or driving to work!

I don't need to go to some church to worship God-I do it every day. If an obese person of faith wishes to exercise-great! but that doesn't mean they have to only do one or the other. God is all around us and anyone can worship God any time they choose-whether in church or at the gym.
just my opinion.

A TRUE woman will find time for both, without slacking on either. If need be, there is the option of multi-tasking. But since you said only one, then I'd have to go with worship God. You always put Him first.

This is a false dichotomy. One can do both at the same time, offering up one's physical sufferings in penance for one's sins. You can pray not just with your mind, but also your body.
I myself exercised and prayed my way out of being housebound by saying a Rosary on a daily walk.

Exercise - as an offering to her God. Offering her effort and when she looks like Linda Evangelista to offer her Beauty as praise to God's creation hehehe

You can have both with some kind of catholic pilgrimage!
you have many options: more than 1.000 miles on foot standing up or a running on staircase, just as Rocky Balboa'training except for you will do it kneeling.

why should she choose one when she can do both at the same time? that would be inefficient. plus it depends on her, she can do either one or she can do both together, I am not anyone to advice her as to what to do. plus if she is not religious or a person with faith then even if I said she would not pray.
