don't let her bother you. if you were close to him he would be proud to recieve it. She should understand it's about him only.

Well, since your no longer in the picture I would stay away from this one. If you sent a card your ex would probably end up calling you and give you a personal update on how he is doing. I'm sure she's probably overloading you with emails, trying to get you involved. Say a prayer instead and wish your ex's dad strength for a full recovery!

Your own sense of what is right is already telling you what to do. Send him the card. You will feel really glad that you did. I don't care about best answers for a minute. Just trust me on this one.
That does not mean you have to start back up with her, start communicating with her or anything else.

If you have a good relationship with her Dad then send a card to him. There is nothing wrong with that and it shouldn't sent her any sort of message that you are interested in having anything to do with her.

Send the card addressed only to him - it is a very nice gesture and do not let your past relationship keep you from being kind and considerate.

I think it would a very courtious thing of you to do. Most guys wouldn't that I know and I think it is sad even if they were close to that person. Just because you and your ex are no longer together does not mean that you have to not talk to her father anymore.

Yeah do it.
However if it would seem strange to him to get a card from you, don't do it. Don't even reference that she is the one that told you he was sick.
It sounds to me that she wouldn’t have emailed you unless she thought it might cheer up her dad if you called or sent him a card.
After bypass surgery people get depressed. Just waking up alive isn't the conclusion.

if you genuinely care about the guy, send him your best wishes....forget about the girl, it has nothing to do with her....and if she thinks it does, ignore it..she'll get the hint...a person is a person..it doesnt matter who they are related to or how youo were introduced....wish him the best and if need be, let her know that it was your sole intention ONLY to send your best to her dad..good luck, girls can be fiesty!!=0)

Certainly, unless you divorced him as well. In other words if you are still friendly with each other then he would probably appreciate your get well card.
