If I do Masturbation. Will it hurt me or others in my life?

I have asked God before that I would never do Masturbation again. As I was thinking it was a Sin. And now reading. I don't think it is a Sin.

Even if I said to God I would not do Masturbation. Thinking it was a Sin. And I don't think its a Sin now. And I go back on what I said. Will it be okay?

I guess I am asking.

Is it okay to think its not a Sin?

And will it hurt others or me?

And even if I said to God I would not do it. And I don't think its a sin now. And I do it. Will it be okay?

YOUR relationship with God is personal--have you asked God what He wants? I do not think it is a sin but if YOU think it is a sin and do it anyway--for you it is a sin. Who does it hurt? no one. But that isn't the major issue. Ask God....and then listen to what you hear.

Like I said before. I have been thinking of it as a Sin for sometime. And now I don't think its a Sin.

Masturbation -

It is not a sin. it is one way of enjoying sex by oneself with out going to any other person of the opposite gender. God will not mind if you Masturbate as he is now aware of what is masturbation and your will be doing it in the bathroom or in a separate room with doors closed.

It will not hurt anyone as you are not going to beat anyone with your action. Secondly you are not going to do it in front of others. So why worry. i find your worry is baseless and there is nothing harm to do it.

Now you should know something about Mastubation. What is it?Masturbation is the manual excitation of the sexual organs, usually to the point of orgasm. It can refer to excitation either by oneself or by another (see mutual masturbation). It is part of a larger set of activities known as autoeroticism which also includes the use of sex toys and non-genital stimulation. There are also masturbation machines used to simulate intercourse. Masturbation and sexual intercourse are the two most common sexual practices, but they are not mutually exclusive (for example, many people find the sight of their partner masturbating highly erotic). Some people are able to achieve orgasm only through masturbation and not sexual intercourse.

[edit] Benefits
It is held in many mental health circles that masturbation can relieve depression and lead to a higher sense of self-worth (Hurlbert & Whittaker, 1991). Masturbation can also be particularly useful in relationships where one partner wants more sex than the other — in which case masturbation provides a balancing effect and thus a more harmonious relationship.

On July 16, 2003, an Australian research team led by Graham Giles of The Cancer Council published a medical study [2] which concluded that frequent masturbation by males may help prevent the development of prostate cancer. The study also indicated that this would be more helpful than ejaculation through sexual intercourse because intercourse can transmit diseases that may increase the risk of cancer instead.

Masturbation is also seen as a sexual technique that protects individuals from the risk of contracting sexually transmitted diseases such as AIDS. Support for such a view, and for making it part of the American sex education curriculum led to the dismissal of US Surgeon General Joycelyn Elders during the Clinton administration.

Some people actually consider masturbation as a cardiovascular workout. And while doctors have no proof of this actually being true, those suffering from cardiovascular disorders (particularly those recovering from myocardial infarction, or heart attacks) should resume physical activity (including sexual intercourse and masturbation) gradually and with the frequency and rigor in which their physical status will allow. Some doctors will advise those recovering from heart attacks to resume sexual activity (solitary or with a partner) when one is able to climb two flights of stairs without experiencing shortness of breath or chest pain-.

No, masturbation has no effect on penis growth or any other type growth. Your sperm and semen have no other purpose in your body except to be ejaculated. Don't use deodorant especially because it clogs your pores. Conditioner is ok, but shampoo and soap will sting. Spit of course is ok, as well as lotion. You could also use cooking oil. If you don't want to be homosexual, then don't watch gay porn. If you are attracted to girls, then there is no reason to believe you are not straight. I think your desires to have oral or anal with a guy are due to watching homosexual porn, so stop. It's not unusual to want to masturbate with a friend. 43% of all guys do that and almost all of them grow up straight. I did it with several friends growing up and its fun giving it and even more fun getting it, but we all grew up straight. If I had it to do over again, I probably would not. But it's not something I have huge regrets over either, and I'm not even ashamed to tell somebody I did that when I was a teen. It did satisfy my curiosity and helped me to feel a lot more normal about my own size and sexual response. I found out we (about a half dozen friends) were all about the same in the way we looked and acted, a lot more similar than different. Do you have a close friend or friends you could do it with?

Why are you asking us what we think? Honestly, what do you think of it? What is your source of knowledge or wisdom? Trust it, not the yahoos on yahoo. You will get such a variety of answers here that it may only confuse you more. It can hurt you if it becomes an obsession so constant and so strong that it affects aspects of your life that relate to others, which is the only way that I feel that it can hurt someone else. The urge is natural and sometimes just doesn't want to go away. I'd say whack it, get it over and off your mind, don't fret too much, (too much guilt can make you crazy). It is definitely better than promiscuity.

Hmm... Sounds here like classical religious opression. You are afraid to do what feels good, which probably means you are afraid to do many things. There is no reason to feel guilty about it, that is mostly society that has told you that its bad. Once again Christianity ruins the day. Belief is good, religion is suffocating. Do yourself a favor, drop your religion and just believe in God. Your life will be much happier without others telling you what is good and bad, it is your life, and these are your decisions. no one else has any say in that what so ever, not even God. According to the Bible he gave us a choice before we really knew how to make choices whether or not to eat from the tree of knowledge. We made the choice to have our eyes opened and become independant from the animals. Adam and Eve knew how to think clearer, became wiser, became aware of their nakedness, and became aware of their ability to logcal choices. So ask yourself, why didn't God want us to have any of that?

it is a sin against YOURSELF when you put yourself through such intense, shameful suffering just for satisfying natural urges.

when you are hungry, do you not eat?
when you are tired, do you not sleep?

if every once in a while, you feel certain sexual urges then by all means, relieve yourself.

feel no fear of what others SAY God's will is on this issue

don't worry about already acknowledging it as a sin while in prayer with god. Even if God is perfect, man is not. We are succeptible to being mentally confused. Sometimes we present wishes or confess to the lord about things that are in no way pertinent to his will or his concerns. God does't speak as clearly and directly to mankind like he did in the bible days, so we must rely on our sense of humane LOGIC as well our love for god and our fellowman.

best wishes in all your wanking!

Well if you think it is a sin and your gut instinct tells you a sin then it must be a sin as you are getting answers from a higher source. All sins are forgiven if asked for forgiveness.

The lust accompanying masturbation is complete fantasy and utterly detached from real personal relationships. Masturbation can't be a virtuous action. One of its euphemisms is self-abuse, and that's a good description of what goes on in the masturbatory act.

If you habitually engage in masturbation, you'll likely become too self-absorbed to be a good lover for your future spouse. Men and women's bodies were made for each other and for their children, not for their own solitary pleasures.

When a person masturbates they are usually fantasizing. What is the fantasy about? Sex? Sex with someone other than they are probably not married to. Did you go back on your word? Should God go back on His word to you? Masturbation is usually lust aka adultery. Lust is wanting something you don't, and maybe shouldn't, have have. Adultery is sin.
