they still have the support of several of the representants who are republicans ???

i also would like to add that they ( the democrats ) were chosen because the Americans expect them to resolve that issue and all of the other issues created by the republicans and that the republicans know that America will not tolerate they interfering with a solution .

They can only be as effective as the rest of Congress allows them to be, which is unfortunate because they were given a huge mess to clean up.

The republicans did not move fast enough to suit the majority of the public, who then started taking issue WITH immigration with their representation, who then took the issue, and their findings, to Washington. Now, the border fence bill has become law, and democrat or republican, their JOB, yes, 'work', that 4-letter word that was chosen because all the other ones were used, their JOB is to represent the Will Of The People, not Exxon or Big Lettuce. Now, the democrats have control of Congress, and will likely tend to do a more effective job of presenting issues of concern to US citizens for consideration and resolution. Which is as it should be.

Mexico could learn copious amounts from studying our democratic processes in action, and maybe someday, emulate them. If they were to somehow do that, perhaps their citizens wouldn't be fleeing the country...

let me translate your writing:

Did you know (you are already using the past tense when you write "did", so, "knew" is not the right use of the word) that even if some of the Democrats did not agree with an immigration reform, they still have the support of several of the Republican representatives? and bla, bla, bla

Ok, no, I didn't know that (see, I didn't say didn't knew), and is hard to believe that the republicans are behind this loss of their own party. You are saying that the Democrats will be pushed by the Republicans to create this "Illegal immigration reform", not by supporting them, at least I don't think it will be in the open, on the contrary, they will still oppose this Reform, and yes, maybe then they will blame de Democrats and wash their hands, to try to get themselves back in the senate and the house, for the next elections, or better yet, in the battle for the presidency.
