as a homosexual myself, i have done lots of research on views of homosexuality.
orthodox and conservative jews believe that homoseuxality in general is wrong. in the torah is even says kill those who have gay sex.
reform and reconstructionist jews on the other hand believe that the torah just says that gay sex is wrong, but it talks nothing of love [which is true] and therefore they accept homoseuxals, and even allow gay rabbi's and such.
so yeah, just like christianity, different sects believe different things.
the torah talks about how having gay sex is wrong, but never says two consenting gay couples is wrong.

Ben ok is splitting hairs and he's regularly falsely claiming faith has not something to do with homophobia everybody's meant to have a similar worry-loose rights homosexuality isn't a decision yet they are going to lie that that's and that they are actually not confident whilst lesbians, gays and bisexuals tell them in any different case, mendacity that this is determination ability they might experience okay to be homophobes many think of marriage is christian that's additionally nonsense "gay" grew to become right into a term coined in 1869 so it won't be able to be in the bible or a sin, the bible's been mistranslated and misunderstood the bigots make it appear like people into a similar gender do not fall in love and have a similar thoughts/thoughts as heteros edit: i don't see how this is immoral that some everybody is into intercourse in basic terms edit2: kdanley - necrophilia is non-consensual, adequate mentioned edit3: this is not a decision British bigot

I think that one is kind of obvious
Traditional Judaism says that the act of homosexuality male penetration) is a sin. As for why? Leviticus, remember Jews did write it.
more liberal Jewish groups have the same stance as liberal Christan groups.
as for gay marriages the Judge is still out on that one. Its clear that in Traditional Judaism it will never be permissible for a Rabbi to officiate a gay marriage, but that dose not mean that they would basically oppose legislation for the rest of the population.

As a Messianic Jew i believe that homosexuality is a sinful lifestyle. I also believe that gay marriage is a contradiction of terms because the definition of a marriage is between a man and a woman.
I see homosexuality as a sinful lifestyle but also see a lot of other life styles as sinful. Examples: an alcoholic, someone addicted to material possessions, Idolater, or simply someone who takes the Lord's name in vain on a daily basis. So let us not forget that everyone sins and most everyone lives a sinful life style. Therefor
if someone hates homosexuals because it is sinful, they might as well hate everyone else while they're at it, including themself.
As far as gay marriage goes, marriage is a religious thing. It is a holy covenant between a man and a woman. If two men want to live life together, fine, but it can not be called a marriage, it contradicts its definition.

I think it depends on the temple leadership. I was friends with a Cuban American gay Jewish Rabbi-half his family was gay so there was more openness at his temple than generally seen.
as far as the "by the book" Judaism views I don't know.

,,,, The Jewish people ,, as do most religions believe it is wrong .. It is in the Bible .. The Jewish people follow the Bible ,, the first part of the Bible .. As I said almost all religions believe and teach ,, that this is wrong. I myself have been taught to love all people.. That is what God would want.. God is the judge ,, not man..
