I cannot stand volleyball and you don't see me trying to convince people out of it in the volleyball Q & A all day.
Are you after something in here, maybe?? Perhaps you really want to believe and we are witnessing the battle within yourselves right here.

Since this place has no restrictions on where you can hang out no matter what religion, race, or color one is; it doesn't matter because you can't do anything about it. I understand the reasoning behind your question, being an atheist myself I don't hate you for asking this question because I have asked it myself. I personally hang out in this area for curiosity and just to see what other people think and how they live.

When I clicked on Answer, at the top of the page, this question came up... It was a fluke...Nothing more,nothing less.
I do understand your point however using volleyball (which in my opinion is a great sport, but to each their own) as an example of convincing sides was faily odd... Maybe the use of how many pronounciation in potato and tomato.

They are representing their place in this world--if you ban one group of people, it opens a door that cannot be closed--you get rid of athiests, then pagans are next, then maybe muslims, then catholics or baptists--are you so sure of your position in the majority that you have complete assurance of being the last left standing? For everybody you judge, there are ten times as many judging you, and for every one person you would take measures to get rid of, there are a hundred more who will want to see you gone for stepping over that line

No one is "hanging out" in here. Someone asks a question to an online community, and so a response is needed. Religious people feel the need to impress their beliefs onto others, or else that person will GO TO HELL and BE A BAD PERSON, etc. Freedom of Religion is also the Freedom of NO Religion. We, the athiests/agnostics, whatever, are EQUALLY entitled to express our views just as much as you are. So, stop being "holier than thou", even in Yahoo Answers.

Because they are ignorant and so miserable that they have to have something to occupy their nasty minds. This is the work of satan working in the non-belivers, etc. They are here to put down Christians and any other followers of Jesus. I just hope they repent before the rapture comes or before they die.
This will make you laugh: Someone who goes by "jasonwtx" just answered the prayer with the answer that "you are reported"! Well, in a previous question about cults he was whinning about Christians giving him a thumbs down. See what I mean.

Because their souls are still seeking though their minds are closed. Their hearts are not hardened to the point of being unreachable or they wouldn't care what we believe or why. The truth is that they want answers. They want help and they come here because something deep in their souls knows that God is the only place where they will find it. If they truly believe in NOTHING then why the need to convince anyone of that? If we believe in God we've not lost anything once this life is over. If they continue to believe in nothing they've lost their very souls. Eternity is a long, long time to burn. I pray for them every day. I love it when they use their names so I can call them out to God by NAME!

you really can not cover up the fact that you have anger and hatred in your heart. you come here to question and you come here to answer....why is it ok for you and not for others.. where does this self-righteousness come from? you are grouping hate and athiests together..thats not fair....you havent met every athiest in the world, or that have come in to this forum...i think that you like to cause trouble and that you should rethink your loyalty to your religion..WWJD???

Maybe it as something to do with misunderstanding...
Maybe their faith in rationality makes them think religious beliefs are heretic...
Maybe they just have something against religions...
Or maybe, they're just like me and have to much time to kill...
Really I couldn't say for sure if any of these possibility is an apt answer for anyone.
But I really would like to note that there are probably as much answers as there are individuals.
