I think its a reason because much of the focus is gone off the bible. Infact its written in the bible that a christiam will have more difficulties and that the blessings given to him are mostly spiritual ones. They often fail to understand that earthly trials and difficulties can be spiritual blessings in disguise. Plus the teaching of the age is that with faith we can gain any material blessing, hence people are misled and think that when they don't have material blessings God has abandoned them.

Because they choose to read and believe all the scriptures about God's provisions and blessings but they ignore the scriptures that talk about us being persecuted and tried. Once saved life is not a bed of roses. We still have the same struggles and hardships to overcome. A lot of people falsely believe that life is just a walk in the part after becoming a Christian. God's word says our lives with be "put through the fire" to burn away the bad so that only the shining gold remains. I don't know about you but that sounds like a pretty painful process to me. But then, the end result is certainly worth it, no?

As a Christian, all we have to do is read the book of Job if WE start feeling abandoned. God help us to hold up under even a fraction of the same "fire" Job endured.

I think that people who do not have there prayers answered believe that God has abandoned them. Reminds me of when my daughter died. Her son, each night listened to I wish upon a star, and he said that song is wrong I wished upon a star and it didn't work. I said sometimes our wishes come true, but not the way we wished. after about 5 minutes he said. You know Your right it did come true, because mommy has no more pain and no more suffering. It took me more than five Min's to breathe again. So yes this is how I see people would think God abandoned them because they didn't get what they wanted. We need some kind of faith to carry us through the rough times.

Their faith is weak. Does the air exist if you do not see it? Does the wind exist if you do not see it? Do other countries exist if you do not witness their existence? If these people do not see the hand of provision and blessing than I'd say they do not appreciate life!!!!

Because their faith isn't strong yet.

Because they don't understand God's justice.

Because they are seeking a feel-good more than they are seeking a living, just God.

Because they don't understand that sometimes impoverishment and deprivation is God's giving us the opportunity to detach from worldly things so that we may seek reliance on God and God alone.

Numerous reasons.

This is just from my life experience. I believe that people want to see what God is doing right here right now instead of being patient and waiting on His timing.

Because to many are teaching and preaching that all to popular prosperity message. And who doesn't want to be prosperous.

I heard a preacher one time say that a verse in Isaiah was telling him to go buy a car he couldn't afford, because we are called to have abundance....okay dokey.
