Since cancer rates are on the rise in some areas of the U.S. I was wondering if prolong exposure to your microwave over a period of time can cause cancer? Just wondering what your thoughts were on this.

No. But if that microwave oven is all that old and worn out that the seal is actually broken, get rid of it.
Then if you are worried about getting cancer, go on a vegetarian diet wherein you're getting a lot of fresh raw fruits and salad vegetables, a little raw nuts and seeds daily if you can chew them, and otherwise use a blender. And in summer if you feel that to look great you must lay out in the hot sun for hours and tan, better stop that as this can catch up with one and can bring on skin or other cancer.

Yes it can cause cancer but you would have to stand infront of it for hours daily for years.
