Ok, so this has been going on for a LONG time and I dont know how to stop it. Tomorrow, we have 3 exams. During the entire day, I was thinking I NEED to get home early and start studying cuz i havent been doing my homework and i have no idea whats going on. Then during study hall, i was supposed to get my notes done, but I decided writing my sister an e-mail and watching videos was more important . Keep inmind, I thought i'd have time for my notes. Well, needless to say, i got NOTHING accomplished. So it was the end of the day and i got in my car and sped home so hopefully 8 hours would be enough for me to study for all these exams. Well, I got home at 3:00, but my dad offered to go buy me subway, so i went with him and ate and chatted with a couple of friends and got home at 5. Then i spend the rest of the day, in my room, doodling, occasionally going to the kichen, eating. My sis called so i talked to her for like 2 hours. And the next thing I know I'm on Yahoo Answers at 11:09.

Make a list of what you have to do tomorrow and rate them for priority. Then DO them even if you have to offend someone. If they have no respect for your private life then don't feel guilty.

Take it from me a life procrastinator,it does not get easier the farther you go i life.If you don't decide to take control of it now it will ge teven worse before it gets worse.Seeking help might be the answer.there must be something else on your mind that is keeping you away from your work. You might even have a learning disability. These you will never know until you do seek help. You are addicted to the pressure of just getting things done under the wire.Think of the potential you could unleash if you had a little discipline in your life. This may sound really corny, but everything inlife has a divine plan and when you have no plan you have chaos

You don't need a psychiatrist. I use to do the same thing...sometimes I still procrastinate. You don't have the motivation to do what needs to be done because you don't care. I didn't become serious with my studies til I was a lot older. I guess I wasn't mentally/emotionally mature. But eventually I got sick of procrastinating and got fed up with stressing myself out. What helped me was to make a strong committment to myself first to do what needs to be done. Without that committment then don't even bother. It also helped that I broke my studying to short periods of time rather than pulling all nighters or cramming everything at once. If you can do this, believe me studying would be a piece of cake and less stressful than it needs to be.

It seems to me that you have a focus problem is there something on your mind that has deterred your attention from your studies. You say your an "A" student it won't be that way for long if you keep going at the rate that you're going. I have a 16yr.old and he's an"A" student yes I'm a parent when he has homework are exams to study for he does and he comes in from school starting his homework and doing his choir's and I don't even have to ask him but my 12yr.old is something different I have to ask him if he has homework,to see the homework, and check the homework and tell him to do his choir's so try talking to your parents if you can't get focused your dad sounds kool to talk to

Although this is a common problem and you could probably fix it with some help being motivated from your friends and family, if a therapist or psychiatrist is a choice for you then I think it could be very beneficial for you even if you just go once or twice. Good Luck!
