Ok so in the beggining there was God, and there was darkness. Right? Then he started creating stuff. Now was the darkness the opposite of God, his foe? God's way is the way of light, So if in the beggining it was him and darkness why did he not eliminate it entierly? Is it because in his nature he can not truely destroy, because of his path of light?

Anything on this subject matter would be appreciated, I do not mean to offend anyone, and if you are religious and your beggining stories are not like this what are they?

In the beginning was darkness?
Logically, in the beginning must be God to create it all (Bible). There was darkness (Bible).

May be darkness ist not the proper word, a better word may be nothingness, for God has no image (Bible).

God created everything (Bible), is in everything (Bible).

All is one, the light and the darkness. The dark as the bad in the world are the lessons we give ourselves. God's love is so great that we are allowed to give ourselves lessons to learn.

When we have learned the lesson, the lesson goes away. Then we can recreate Paradise on earth.

This is how I explain these things to myself.

No, the darkness was an absence of light. There is nothing the opposite of God!

Wow! That's a tough one. Unfortunately I don't believe there is anyone who could accurately answer this question for you. None of us were there for creation. All we have to go by is what is written in God's word. He doesn't go into such great detail about it and I believe that's because it's not important. If it was something we needed to know He surely would have written about it. Write this one down as a question to ask Him when you get the heaven. I have a long list myself. Nothing on there that makes me doubt my faith, just my own curiosity.

God exists both in light and in darkness. God's opposite isn't darkness. There is no opposite for God. For there to be an opposite, there would need to be something that is not God. However, God is everywhere: here, there, and everywhere in between. God is everything: you, me, and everything in between.

before God made 'light' for us, to seperate day from night, God was Light. He didn't need the sun to shine a light for Him to 'see'. this is a good Q

Revelation, Chapter 21, Verse 23:

And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
