The military should ship them all back from where they came from, and guard the borders.
They don't know who is crossing the borders from Mexico or Canada. They could be terrorists.
Bring the troops home to take care of our own country.

The only thing I want our military to do is to patrol our borders and stop illegals from entering this nation. They do not deserve to be in our armed forces. They are not citizens and are not loyal to this country.I don't want any more armed and military trained criminals out there .We have our share already. The military offers far too many benefits that anyone illegal should not have access to.No ,I'm sorry on this one I cant agree with you.
Laws can be changed and perhaps they should be.
Does anyone remember Kent State when our national guard fired upon and killed legal American students that were peacefully demonstrating. So our National Guard can do that but its wrong for our military to protect our orders?

Nope, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency, or ICE, has the duty of enforcing immigration laws, hence the name.
The US Border Patrol has the job of preventing unlawful entry into the United States, hence the name. I forecast that both will be 'under new management' and out there doing it...the military's job is different, you shouldn't try to drive nails with a piece of sandpaper, or resurface a table with a conduit bender. You'll likely just hurt yourself, and you won't accomplish much...
Send the people with the training to do the job they've been assigned to do. The more citizens that show support for having the job done, the more likely it is that the job will BE done.
Support the US Border Patrol!

The use of the US militaryfor law enforcement is prohibited within our borders....
The intent was to prevent a military coup or the ability of the government to control the population by force.
CONGRESS is responsible fro funding the border patrol. Congress has failed the American people as they place their need to retain their job over the need to protect.
Congress always talks a good game ,maybe even acts on "border issues" but they are unwilling to risk the loss of some voters //more importantly the LOSS of the big money "supporters" that want control or no penalty for cheap labor employees..
To take a stand--amend immigration laws or enforce the current Laws is -To Congress_ too much of a PERSONAL risk....
--The citizens can be taxed to cover the costs to the infrastructure, education, medical, prison systems ,"service / assistance programs",printing costs to provide multilanguage forms/signs, etc...
--Cheap labor does provide profits for organizations who dutifully add to the politicians re-election money pot..the citizens "do" get some benefits such as cheap vegatables, cheap, lawn care, pool service etc
Immigration laws R on the books...UNTIL CONGRESS changes the law the people need to demand adequate enforcement and IMMEDIATE FULL FUNDING.
Without laws...ANY society degenerates into a "what's in it for me attitude" and /or a belief that anyone has a "right" to ignore laws as long as they believe their desire/need must be met...Rape,murder, theft ALL become "negotiable" since the criminal claims that his burning need/desire must trump the law...
--THE MILITARY cant do CONGRESS's JOB
The only way to get CONGRESS to protect the US and enforce ANY LAW is for the voters to toss them out...
or catch them taking all their under the table payments to insure whatever the donor/supporter wants..The Senators/Congressmen cant (yet) avoid prosecution for theft, conspiracy to defraud...
-- maybe we should have a DMZ a 10 mile stretch of no mans land along the border ???

Yes it is past time for the military to step in. Anyone with eyes can see the Border Patrol are overwhelmed and can't get the job done. If you went into Mexico illegally you would end up in one of their jails if not worse.

A very creative idea indeed but not to practical since 45% of illegals that arrive from Canada or our airports may be from middle eastern countries and have may have the Jihadist thing
in their motivations.
But under a specially designed program I guarantee the US military can get many greatly qualified candidates from Latin, America, Africa and perhaps the Philippines. Counries with shared cultural links.

I believe it has been ruled unconstitutional for the military to be used for domestic law enforcement. Now, it wouldn't be unconstitutional to declare war on Mexico and Canada and station troops on their sides of the border....probably wouldn't be too smart, either. And as for forcing them to serve in our armed forces, impressment was one of the big reasons for our Revolutionary War. There's only one military position I'd be willing to give illegal aliens but we know the current enemy wouldn't worry about firing through an unarmed human shield, so that wouldn't be any help.

It is the military's job to defend our borders and police to enforce the laws so they should work together to keep illegal aliens out.

No. Nothing good should result from an illegal act, and the military has enough problems without baby sitting being added.

after training what will we do with them? do we give them legal status and send them to iraq, or just give them honorable discharge and let them take advantage of the military benefits.
