It can be any number of things.

Brakes
A bad wheel bearing
Possibly a bad C/V joint

If you are turning right and it goes away, it may be a wheel bearing. They make a growling noise when they start going bad, and usually when you turn the vehicle in one direction or the other, it either stops or changes the noise.

Is it coming from the front of the car?

If you can't tell (can be any of all four wheels), that's ok. Take it to a mechanic and have it looked at. Have him examine your brakes, C/V boots, and your wheels, and take him along for a ride so that he can hear the noise too. I am quite sure that once he does, he will know where to start looking. Certain noises mean certain things.

It is most likely something like brakes or a wheel bearing. It could (not likely) be tire noise, "brand new" is a vague description nowadays. The number of miles on them would be a better description when it comes to "new" versus "not new".
